If you're a frequent visitor to my site, you know that my opening page features a slide show of my favorite images from the most recent event. And, now the season is over, it is a rather large presentaion of some of my favorites from the year.Realizing I needed to edit down my 2008 images to a reasonable size portfolio-like presentation, I have taken Thorsten's queque and created a free eBook that friends, clients and potential clients can download and save locally for future review.You can download your copy of my free eBook by following this link. It is a PDF file and upon completion of the download process will launch in Adobe Acrobat and prompt a dialogue box asking permission to display the file in "full screen" mode. JoHn THAWLEY
John Thawley maintains an archive filled with trackside photography from SCCA SPEED World Challenge, American LeMans, Grand American Series, Trans-Am and Champ Car. In 2003, Thawley was the official photographer for the Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Cup.
Thawley’s racing images have been featured in print for companies such as Acura, Cadillac, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lexus, Maserati, Mazda, Raybesto, StopTech and in the pages of Autoweek, Autosport, USA Today, SportsCar, Vette and others.
In addition to being a full-time motorsports photographer, John Thawley owns Creative Communications Group. Creative Communications Group is a company specializing in graphic design for print, web development and electronic online ap-plications.
Clients include; Acura, American GT Challenge, Autoextremist.com, Autosport Development, BP, California Speedway, CompTire, Finlay Motorsports, Guy Cosmo Racing, Homestead Speedway, Intersport Racing, LG Motorsports, Mazda USA, Michigan Speedway, Mid-ohio Sports Car Course, Motor Publications, Penske Motorsports, Pontiac Racing, Randy Ruhlman Racing, Rocketsports Racing, Specter Werkes/Sports, Spirit of Daytona Racing, Stop Tech Brakes, The Detroit Lions, Turner Motorsport.
In 2006, Thawley founded the Automotive Photographer’s network, a site for pho-tographers at both the enthusaist and professional levels featuring news, reviews, a professional member directory and community forum.
Thawley travels extensively throughout the year shooting the full schedules of American Le Mans Series, SPEED World Challenge Series and select Grand-Am, IRL and ChampCar events. Photographs are available for promotional, commercial and Web site use.
