NCAA champions developed and mentored by Robinsonand Morgan include Tim Hartung, Brock Lesnar, Luke Becker, JaredLawrence, Damion Hahn, Dustin Schlatter, and Cole Konrad.Highlighting this year’s exceptional recruiting class are five highly-decorated incoming freshmen. HeadCoach Jack Spates continues to bring some of the country’s top talentto Norman, Oklahoma. Two number 3 ranked wrestlers head thisyear’s recruiting class. They are John Starzyk (133) of Illinois andSeth Vernon (149) of Oklahoma. With a stellar group of incoming fresh-men owning impressive credentials, Head Coach Jay Weiss hopes tohave a few grapplers join the prestigious NCAA champions list.Leading the way are number 1 ranked Corey Jantzen (133) of NewYork, number 2 ranked Dan Kelly (125) of New Jersey, number 11ranked Shay Warren (125) of Utah, and number 17 ranked AndyOlsen (197) of Georgia. 10. LEHIGH – Some of the finest wrestlers to ever take the colle-giate mats have proudly competed at Lehigh, including 20 men win-ning 26 NCAA titles. Among others are national titlists Peter Yozzo,Darryl Burley, Mike Caruso, Mark Lieberman, Mike Lieberman, TomSculley, Troy Letters, and Matt Ruppel. Head Coach Greg Strobelcontinues to bring in quality recruiting classes. This year, five valiantperformers will provide a foundation for future greatness. Theyinclude number 3 ranked Connor McDonald (125) of Delaware,number 4 ranked Sean Bilodeau (157) of Massachusetts, number 5ranked Zach Rey (285) of New Jersey, number 7 ranked Kellen Aura(125) of California, and number 14 ranked Brandon Hatchett (165) ofFlorida.

11. INDIANA – Nine wrestlers have captured individual NCAAtitles for the Hoosiers. They include Joe Dubuque, Brian Dolph, BobAntonacci, Joe Roman, Chris Traicoff, Charlie McDaniel, RichardVoliva, Pat Devine, and Eddie Belshaw. With a third consecutive top-notch recruiting class, Head Coach Duane Goldman hopes to addseveral more grapplers to the impressive list of NCAA champions.This year’s incoming freshmen are highlighted by number 1 rankedMatt Ortega (125) of New Mexico, number 4 ranked Jeff Pelton (141)of Ohio, and number 10 ranked Joe Fagiano (285) of Illinois. 12. MICHIGAN – A premier force in the collegiate wrestling scene,the University of Michigan boasts a strong tradition of excellenceboth on and off the mat. Historically, 13 Wolverine grapplers havecaptured individual NCAA championship titles. They include RyanBertin, Kirk Trost, Mark Churella, Jarrett Hubbard, David Porter, JimKamman, Jack Barden, Norvard Nalen, William Courtwright,Donald Nichols, Harold Nichols, Carl Dougovito, and Otto Kelly.Head Coach Joe McFarland signed another exceptional recruitingclass with loads of potential. 16. EDINBORO – Three wrestlers have won individual NCAADivision I national titles for the Fighting Scots. They are Sean O’Day,Josh Koscheck, and Gregor Gillespie. Additionally, five Edinborograpplers captured NCAA Division II national crowns. They includ-ed Dean Hall, Greg Wright, Matt Furey, Bob Kauffman, and MikeHahesy. Head Coach Tim Flynn continues to uphold the strong lega-

cy of winning and excellence that has long been associated withEdinboro wrestling. This year’s fine recruiting class is highlighted bynumber 3 ranked Thomas Straughn (149) of Ohio, number 5 rankedChris Honeycutt (184) of Ohio, number 8 ranked Paul Paddock (165)of New York, and number 17 ranked Aaron Ely (133) of Kansas.

17. MICHIGAN STATE – The list of past Michigan State Universitystars is exceedingly impressive. Names like Greg Johnson, PatMilkovich, Tom Milkovich, Kelvin Jackson, Richard Dickenson,Gene Gibbons, Merle Jennings, Burl Jennings, Dale Anderson,Richard Cook, and Bob Hoke plus a bevy of others have proudlyworn the Spartans school colors of Green and White. Theyinclude Ralph Lupton, Jack Riley, Art Kraft, Mark Massery, JackGriffin, and 2007 national champion Jake Herbert. Head Coach TimCysewski and Assistant Coach Andrew Pariano signed an excellentrecruiting class that will provide some immediate and future fire-power for the nationally-recognized Northwestern wrestling pro-gram. Highlighting the list of newcomers is number 1 ranked MikeBenefiel (174) of Illinois, number 12 ranked Robert Kellogg (165) ofIowa, and number 14 ranked Ben Kuhar (285) of Ohio. Two other in-state Illinois prospects are Frank Battaglia (157) and John Schoen(197).

19. CORNELL – Head Coach Rob Koll has firmly established theBig Red wrestling program as one of the most feared and successfulin the nation by every measure.
