Committee Status Report• Nomination Deadline was March 15, 2004.• Evaluation Committee reports back to IEEE by

June 15, 2004• Due to first time use of electronic nomination

submission and unexpected surge in number of nominations, IEEE was unable to provide evaluation documents to S/C Evaluation Chairs by April 15 as usual. They promised to send out the documents in first week of May. So our committee will do evaluation by mail. Candidates nominated are unknown.

• Teleconference meeting was held on October 8, 2003 for developing potential 2005 award nominees (about 20 names were proposed).

• Nominations were actively sought. Nomination deadline was January 30, 2004.

• Four candidates were nominated.• Teleconference meeting was held on March 8,

2004, one recipient and an alternate were selected. • IEEE Awards Board will approve on April 29, and

BoD will approve on June 20, 2004.
