The ignition MUST be turnedOFF before installation!

PLEASE READ ALL DIRECTIONS BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION

1. Remove the seat

2. Lift the front of the fuel tank up.

3. Install the Power Commander ontop of the battery as shown inFig. A. Use the stock rubberbattery strap to hold the PowerCommander in place.

4. Route the wiring harness fromthe Power Commander towardsthe left hand side of the bike.Go between the engine and theframe and route towards thethrottle bodies.

5. Locate the stock connector forthe rear injector (Fig. B).

6. Unplug the connector from theinjector.

7. Plug the ORANGE colored wiresfrom the Power Commander in-line of the stock connectorand front injector (Fig. C).

8. Route the YELLOW coloredwires to the right hand side ofthe bike. Route wires under airbox and between the throttlebodies.

9. Repeat steps 6 & 7 for the frontinjector.

10. Locate the Throttle PositionSensor (TPS). This sensor islocated on the L.H side of thebike, between the frame and thethrottle body.

11. Unplug the sensor and pull theconnector towards the outside ofthe frame to access the wires(Fig. D).

12. Locate the ORANGE wire of theTPS connector (position C).

13. Attach the supplied wire tap tothe ORANGE wire (Fig. E).Use firm pressure to make surethe wire tap is closed.

Note: It is recommended to use dielectricgrease on this connection.

14. Plug the grey wire from thePower Commander to the sup-plied wire tap (Fig. F).

Note: It is recommended to use dielectricgrease on this connection.

15. Plug the connector back onto theTPS.

16. Attach ground wire from thePower Commander to the nega-tive side of the battery.

17. Make sure the wiring harness ofthe Power Commander is not ina location that it will get pinchedor melted.

19. Lower the fuel tank back intoposition.

20. Reinstall the seat.
