1 Remove the seat.

2 Prop the fuel tank in the upright posi-tion.

3 Remove the airbox lid by disconnect-ing the two hooks on either side of theairbox (Fig A). Unscrew the bolts oneither side of the rear of theairbox or just lift up to remove the airbox.

4 Disconnect the two hoses going to theairbox.

5 Remove the velocity stacks by turningthem counter-clockwise and lifting up(Fig B).

6 Remove the bolt on the underside ofthe airbox (Fig. C).

7 The airbox can now be moved out ofthe way. To totally remove the airboxdisconnect the wire connectors fromthe front of the airbox.

These instructions can be used on either the S4 or S4R. The air box does NOT need to beremoved on the S4R. Follow steps 14-20 for the S4R

9 Plug the connectors from the PCIII in-line of the stock connectors (Fig E).The ORANGE colored wires from thePCIII go to the front cylinder and theYELLOW colored wires go to the rearcylinder. Reinstall spring clips.

10 Locate the thottle position sensor onthe underside of the throttle bodies(Fig F). Remove the connectorby squeezing the spring clip.

11 Plug the leads from the PCIII in-lineof this connection.

8 Unplug the stock connectors from theinjectors (Fig D). Release the springclips to remove each connector.

**Do not discard spring clip.

**Do not mix up the stock front andrear connectors.Fi

Align the PCIII connector to the stockwiring harness as shown below. Thesquare edges of the PCIII connectoralign with the spring clip side of thestock wiring harness

12 Install the PCIII on top of the battery(Fig.G). Make sure to clean both sur-faces with the alcohol swab beforeattaching.

13 Attach the ground lead from the PCIIIto the negative side of the battery.

Follow the following instructionsfor the S4R model only.

14 Disconnect the stock wiring harnessfrom the throttle bodies (Fig. J).

**Do not mix up the stock front andrear connectors.

Unplug these connectors

15 Connect the YELLOW colored wiresfrom the PCIII to rear injector (Fig.K).

16 Connect the ORANGE colored wiresfrom the PCIII to front injector (Fig.L).

17 Locate the thottle position sensor onthe left hand, underside of the throttlebodies (Fig M). Remove the connec-tor by squeezing the spring clip.

Unplug this connector

18 Plug the connectors from the PCIII in-line of the TPS and stock wiring har-ness (Fig. N).

19 Install the PCIII on top of the batteryas shown in Fig. P

20 Attach the ground wire from the PCIIIto the negative side of the battery(Fig. P).
