Features Overview

The steering is highly responsive optimising manoeuvrability in confined spaces. Proven transmission provides smooth movement and changes of direction. The dimensions of the truck have been optimised to ensure effective operation in most aisles without sacrificing driver comfort and visibility.

Operator Comfort

The operator compartment has been ergonomically designed to offer a practical and comfortable working environment for the driver. Access is via a large step, with a tread pattern to prevent slipping, easily accommodating the wearing of safety boots. The standard full suspension seat can be adjusted to suit the driver while all controls are within easy reach. The bulkhead mounted pedals help to keep the floorplate clear, providing extra foot space.

A large LCD display provides the driver with the necessary operating information at a glance. The steering column has a 6 degree tilt range and can be positioned for maximum comfort for the driver.

A standard overhead guard, partial cabins or full cabins are all available to meet different customer requirements. The full cabin has steel doors and front and rear screens with a wash/wipe function to ensure the driver has a clear view at all times. Heater options are also available on the full cabin. LED marker lights and work lights are offered as standard, which eliminates the cost of bulb replacement. These, along with the amber strobe light, ensure that the driver can see and the truck can be seen at all times.

To assist with driving in reverse a rear drive handle with integrated horn button mounted on the right rear guard leg is available.

Manoeuvrability

Visibility

The overhead guard features a 3-piece construction and has been designed to provide the operator with excellent all round visibility. The hoses are neatly routed across the mast and are retained with an independent hose tensioner to ensure visibility and reliability are maintained throughout its life. This delivers a large window through the mast giving the operator a clear view of the load and forks.

Load Handling

The mast offers optimal visibility while still being of a robust construction with the auxiliary hoses centred on the free lift cylinder to eliminate hose twisting. There is positive hose retention and large radius bends are employed to minimise hose scuffing, maximising life. The mast can be ordered with several tilt options and the tilt cylinder anchors are widely spaced to increase lateral stiffness and visibility.

A range of Class II and Class III LFL and FFL masts are available along with carriages including integrated side shift carriages to make load handling easy and convenient. There is also a range of Class II and Class III forks to choose from to ensure the best fit for the application.

UTILEV trucks are backed up by a 2000 hour warranty and comprehensive parts availability. The trucks are easy to maintain and servicing can be carried out efficiently, without the need for laptops, computers or special tools. Access to the key components and daily checks is easy thanks to the 70⁰ hood opening, which is held open with a locked gas spring.

The truck has a durable construction with the frame having a one piece welded design. Many components are cast, including the drive axle housing. The truck uses industry proven industrial engines from Yanmar for diesel trucks and the GCT K25 for LPG. The single speed powershift transmission is well proven, reliable and efficient, and the tilt cylinders are sealed to minimize contamination.

Large, high-quality filters are used for each key system to provide optimum performance and a long working life. An efficient cooling system manages both oil and coolant temperatures providing reliability and reducing the risk of unplanned downtime.

The control levers are ergonomically positioned next to the operator and provide precise control. The truck is available with 2, 3 and 4 function hydraulics, and can be supplied from the factory with an integral side shift carriage for precise load handling.
