• We run seven leadership programs in NYC, including two youth programs.

• We have over 2,000 alumni, in many different fields, working for the future of NYC.

College and Career Readiness

• Graduation rates have increased to over 60%.

• Nearly 75% of students enrolling in CUNYs must take remedial courses.

• Just 24% of full-time CUNY students receive degrees within six years of entering college.

Juvenile Justice

• More than 80% of male youth offenders were rearrested within three years.

• Over 90% of murder victims and perpetrators are black or Latino

• Access to juvenile justice programs result in lower re-arrest rates.

Youth Employment• Funding for youth employment programs declined

during the last administration.

• Youth age 16-21 have an unemployment rate of 19%, the highest in the city.

• Just over half of youth who accessed job development programs to search for a job were successful.

Physical and Mental Health

• 26% of NYC have experienced bullying in school, with 90% of LGBT students reporting bullying.

• More than half of students with a dating history experienced dating violence.

• Victims of dating violence more frequently report poor health and self-esteem.
