Whistleblowing say something... Whistleblowing is the term used for an employee raising concerns about practices and procedures in their workplace. Your responsibility If you have a concern about a risk, wrong-doing or malpractice, then it is your responsibility to speak up. If something at work is worrying you, please tell us. Unacceptable behaviour that would justify whistleblowing may include: Abuse of a child or vulnerable person A child, parent, employee or volunteer has been put at risk of harm Unsafe working practices A failure to comply with statutory and legal obligations A criminal offence has or is about to be committed The use of unsafe equipment Falsification of financial records Bribery and or corruption has or is about to take place Covering up wrong doing or malpractice What should I do? Our Whistleblowing policy offers clear guidance on this and is available from the HR team and also on the intranet.
