Litter in Numbers• Most litter happens within 5 metres
of a garbage can.1
• On average, a person will carry garbage 12 paces before littering.1
• Enough plastic is thrown away each year to circle the Earth 4 times.2

• Be careful what you pickup.• If you are unsure, or think it is
dangerous call an adult.• Make sure you are wearing gloves
the entire time.

• Wear good walking shoes• Smile and have fun!
Take lots of pictures and send them to the City of London to be entered in a pizza
lunch contest!
