Let’s start from the ground up…
Life Cycle
1. Annual: completes life cycle in less than 12 mo.(ex. Ambrosia artemisiifolia – common ragweed)
2. Biennial: usually spends 1 year as a basal rosette of leaves, sprouting and producing seed in the second year (ex. Daucus carota – Queen Anne’s lace)
3. Perennial: live from year‐to‐year through underground storage organs (ex. Polygo‐natum biflorum – Solomon’s seal)

• Understand that it’s not memorization…it’s “hands‐on” usage that gets this stuff into the brain
• Think of it like a foreign language…immersion is the key!
