• I wanted my modal to be quirky and stylish to attract a young audience. I have noticed that young people often go for a specific magazine not only for content but for the look and style.

• I think from my front cover I will attract 16-25 year olds mix gender• They would be interested in different styles of music and genres• My main image is a mid shot as conventionally it is the most effective on a

front cover holding the guitar in a moody/interesting way. • Her eyes are looking straight into the camera so there is a emotional link

between the reader and the artist therefore drawing them in• I have used strong lighting in a studio so she is bright and defined, her hair

style looks really effective because you can see the shape against the white background which attracts fashionable people

• My front cover represents young artists as determined and passionate. It shows the versatility of there music tastes and the fashion and style which is associated with it

• I wanted my contents page to show a variety of styles of music live, and in studio

• This is because I wanted my target audience to be music lovers, not only reading it ‘for the gossip’

• However all of my shots are of younger people this is because although I have a variety of different genres of music it is difficult to attract both a young and a old audience so I chose a young one which is evident due to the photos I have taken

• I wanted my artist to look determined, powerful and confident which I have reflected on the photos of her, due to her pose and positioning it is evident the DPS article is about her.

• Again my photos are purposefully attempting to portray a futuristic style icon for young people

• Her quirky music fitting with her unique costume style portrays a different quality making her seem interesting

• I have also taken a variety of different styles to produce different looks and personas for example the black and white ones make her seem powerful and determined. Whereas the colour ones show of her unique style and then finally her CD photo shows off a softer side a more feminine and vulnerable side to her again showing her versatility
