Performing A MIDI Musical Christmas
The MIDI files will play in a MIDI keyboard with a disk drive that plays SMF(Standard MIDI File) Disks; a hardware Sequencer & Voice Module such as the RolandMT Series or the Rodgers PR-300; or in a computer. The best sound will be producedby routing the sound through organ speakers or in the case of a pipe organ, a churchsound system.
The registration numbers in the music refer to suggested pistons from the In-stant Organist, a guide to the organ and its registration. The basic piston settings arelisted at the back of this book. The entire Instant Organist may be downloaded freefrom our website.
A few of the works start with a silent measure. This indicates that you and themidi file will start playing together. Most MIDI devices will flash or otherwise indicatethe tempo of the silent measure to cue you when to begin playing.
