The Awards Residents, owners, architects, designers, project managers and community groups are invited to nominate buildings and projects that meet the eligibility criteria outlined on the back of this form for a Waverley Design and Heritage Award. Winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony in April 2016. HERITAGE This category is for any built heritage conservaon project or study, or any adapve reuse of a heritage structure. � Product: excellence in design and sustainability
ELIGIBILITYThe type of projects that would be eligible for the Awards include:
� new contemporary designed buildings as well as alterationsandadditions
� interiordesignsforpublicbuildings,shops,offices,cafes and restaurants
� public domain projects or projects for privately owned spaces used by the public
� alterationsandadditionstoheritageitems,orplaceswithinheritageconservationareas
� infilldevelopmentinaheritageconservationarea
� conservationworkssuchasrestoration,reconstructionandadaptationofaheritageitem
� maintenance of a heritage item or historic places withinaconservationarea
� community heritage projects
� heritagestudiesandheritageinterpretationandheritagepromotionprojects
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY � Entry is open to projects within the Waverley LGA that havebeencompletedinthepastthreeyears.
� Projects shortlisted in previous Waverley Council-run HeritageandDesignAwardsmaybeconsidered.
� Each nominated work or project must have an individualentryform.
� Owners’consentisrequiredforallentries.
� Access to the project site must be made available for judgingifapropertyisshortlisted.
� Each entrant understands and agrees that any photos orinformationsubmittedaspartofanentrycanbepublishedandusedinWaverleyCouncilpublications,futureexhibitionsanddisplays,Council’swebsiteandinmediaforCouncil,forthepurposeofpromotingtheawardsorheritageanddesigningeneral.WaverleyCouncilwillprovidedueacknowledgement.
� Waverley Council takes no responsibility for the contentofnominations.Itistheresponsibilityofthosenominatingtoensurethatallcarehasbeentakentoidentifyandacknowledgethecontributionandworkofallrelevantparties.
� Thejudgingpanelhascompletediscretionintheawardsprocessandjudgesdecisionsarefinal.Nocorrespondencewillbeenteredinto.Thejudgesreserve the right not to give an award for each category.
