1. COMPANY 1.1 RJP Sdn. Bhd. is an established engineering consultant firm with distinguished performance since its inception more than forty five (45)

years ago. 1.2 The salient features on the scope of services that can be provided by the firm are as follows:-

1.3 The partners in the company have experiences in conceptual planning, design and implementation of many large and important projects

throughout the country and overseas. Together with our M & E associates we provide Clients with total development engineering services which include management, planning, design and construction, monitoring civil, structural, mechanical and electrical works.

1.4 All the principals of the company have more than thirty (30) years of engineering experiences in their respective discipline and have

served in Government bodies before going into private practice. The partners are familiar with the various Government regulations on engineering and building works; requirements of municipal and government authorities pertaining to planning and building approvals. Our broad exposure enables us to provide the appropriate level of engineering solution to a Client’s particular problem and need.

1.5 We are confident therefore that our cumulative experiences through our long involvement in the field of engineering right from the conceptual through the planning and implementation stages of various projects would provide the Client with a most satisfactory level of consultancy services. Through the years, we were privileged to have extensive experiences with a broad spectrum of both Malaysian and Multinational Clients.

2. BACKGROUND 2.1 The firm was established in 1966 by our late founder, Mr. Chan Weng Chiu and was

initially known as Chan Weng Chiu and Associates. The firm was later incorporated and expanded with the addition of new partners to meet the demands of consultancy services and was renamed as Rekanan Jurutera Perunding Sdn. Bhd. In August 2011, the company was again renamed as RJP Sdn. Bhd. to reflect our increasing involvement and expansion in the international arena of engineering consultancy.

2.2 Under the visionary leadership of the principals, the company had been involved in

numerous projects and niche industrial project related to the edible oil, palm oil industry, bulking terminals, oleo chemicals and speciality fats industry, bio-refinery, semiconductor, electronic and electrical industry, automotive and automotive component industry, warehousing, food industry, explosives industry, commercial, residential buildings and civil works.

2.3 The partners of the firm have travelled widely and have vast experiences working with

both local and international companies. They have been exposed to many methods and trends in the planning and design and are familiar with various international requirements and have applied them in both local and international consultancy development and construction of industrial project.

3. MANAGEMENT 3.1 The management comprises three (3) working directors and three (3) partners who are actively involved in planning and management of

projects. The curriculum vitae of the three (3) directors are as follows:- 3.2 Ir. Chew Ching Chong B.Sc.(Hons) (Strathclyde), P.ENG.(M), C.ENG.(UK), FIEM, MICE(UK), MIE (Australia), ASEAN Eng.

Director Age: 58 Started working as an engineer in 1980. He joined the firm in 1981 and made a partner and director in 1987. He was appointed as the managing director in 2002. He has acquired extensive experience in automotive plants, electronic components plants, electrical appliances, warehouse, high rise building, flatted factories, civil works, housing projects, palm oil refineries, biodiesel and all types of palm-based related industries He has provided consultancy services to China, United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam and East Malaysia. Notable public office held by him was holding the post of Hon. Treasurer and Vice Chairman for the Institute Of Engineers Malaysia, Southern Branch in 1990-1995. H� was also the chairman with the Institution Of Engineers (IEM), Southern Branch for various committees and a member of the committee / position papers for strategic plans. He is also an examiner for the Institution Of Engineers, Malaysia and committee member of Membership And Admission Board. He had also rendered honorary engineering consultancy services involving civil and structural designs on religion and structural buildings.

3.3 Ir. Chuah Kean Huat BE (Hons), P.ENG.(M), C.ENG. (UK), APEC ENG., MICE (UK), FIEM, MIE (AUST)

Director Age: 57 Started his career as an engineer in the Drainage and Irrigation Department in 1979. He was with Jurutera Konsultant (S.E.A.) in 1982 and joined the firm in 1983. He was made a partner and director in 1990. Since joining the firm, he has acquired extensive experience in the design and implementation of projects involving palm oil refineries, biodiesel, electronic factories, car parts assembly plants, electrical appliances factories and high rise buildings.

3.4 Ir. Lim Chin Wah Dipl. C.E. (Distinction), B.Sc. (Civ. Eng) (USA), P.ENG.(M), MIEM, ASEAN Eng.

Director Age: 51 Started his career as an engineer in 1988. He joined the firm in 1989. He was made a partner and director in 1996, and deputy managing director in 2002. Since joining the firm, he has acquired extensive experience in the design and implementation of projects involving palm oil refineries, electronic factories, electrical appliances factories and housing estates.

3.5 The working directors and partners are supported by twenty (20) engineers and a team of project managers, architectural and structural

draughtspersons, site supervisors and management staff numbering approximately eighty (80) in total.

4.2 To further appreciate the unique and outstanding capability of the company, a few selected fields of engineering are highlighted herewith:-

a) Bio-refinery Plants

Bio-fuel is fast gaining global importance to achieve sustainable environment and reduce the adverse effects arising from the use of traditional fossil fuel. With our extensive experience in palm oil refineries, we are well equipped to be actively involved in the planning, design and implementation of palm and edible oil based bio-refineries. We are proud to be involved in the first commercial Bio-Refinery Plant in Malaysia at Pasir Gudang, Johor for Carotino in Aug 2006. Other subsequent bio-refineries that we completed were for Wilmar, Achi Jaya, Zoop, Vance Energy, Global Bio-diesel Sdn Bhd, Nexsol Biodiesel and Mission Biotech. Biomass plants is another related field where the company is actively involved to assist Clients to utilise renewable fuel to replace fossil fuel. With the upsurge in oil prices and the introduction of “carbon credits” by relevant world governing body, biomass as fuel is becoming viable. One of our major clients that readily adopt biomass as part of the Bio-Refinery complex is the Wilmar Group. We were fully involved in their biomass plants in Malaysia, Vietnam and Africa. We have also completed biomass projects for our other clients viz:- CP Group in Indonesia and Achi Jaya in Malaysia.

b) Edible Oil and Palm Oil Refineries, Bulking Terminals and Palm-Based Related Products Our broad exposure on numerous projects throughout Malaysia on the design and construction of edible oils and palm oil refineries put us in an advantage position for the design and construction of joint venture projects between local entrepreneurs and foreign joint venture partners in overseas. In addition, our experiences in the planning of services for operation and maintenance for the various edible oil and palm oil refinery projects enabled us to provide fast track design and implementation of such projects. In fact, the company achieved a first when we were commissioned by Jomalina Sdn. Bhd. to design and supervise the construction of one of the first palm oil refinery in Malaysia in 1977 under fast track design. The company's co-operation with the major supplier of edible oil and palm oil refinery equipment like Alfa Laval, De Smet, JJ Lurgi, Oiltek and Lipico has provided us with the necessary expertise to design layout and buildings to satisfy the specific requirement of Clients. c) Petrochemical and Latex Plants One of our major petrochemical clients is Idemitsu Chemical (M) Sdn. Bhd. which is the pioneer in the country in producing polystyrene. Other notable clients include Synthomer Sdn. Bhd., Titan Chemicals, Bayer and BASF.

d) Semiconductor, Electronics and Electrical Appliance The planning and design of the above categories require special emphasis on layouts of buildings pertaining to the manufacturing flow processes, the working/assembly environment related to “clean rooms”, test and assembly facilities for semiconductors and wafer fab plants, equipment layout and design for air conditioning, staff amenities for thousands of workers and special waste treatment facilities. In this connection, the company was appointed as principal consultant to well-known and established firms like Motorola (Freescale), Western Digital, Shin-Etsu Handotai (SEH), National Semiconductor, ON Semiconductor, Philips (NXP) Semiconductor, Texas Instruments and Agilent Technologies (M). Freescale is well known world wide as a leading manufacturer of microchips and electronic components. SEH is one of the largest companies in the world specialising in silicon wafer slicing and polishing techniques. Western Digital is one of the largest computer hard drive manufacturer in the world.

Our company's involvement with these projects right from the conceptual stage through site implementation involving construction and to their satisfactory completion has enabled us to acquire invaluable experience in interacting with local builders to meet all the stringent requirements. We have also undertaken consultancy work overseas with the following clients such as Motorola in China (LeShan) and Philippines (Carmona) and National Semiconductor in China (Su-Zhou). It is noteworthy that we are still retained as their Consultants to date and we are presently still involved in the expansion programmes of Motorola (Freescale), Western Digital, SEH, ON Semiconductor, National Semiconductor and Philips (NXP) Semiconductor.

Amongst many of our notable Clients for electrical appliance is Panasonic which is Japan’s largest electronics company and one of the largest electronic product manufacturer in the world. Our association with Panasonic Group dates back from 1973 and to date, we have been directly involved as principal consultant to their TV factories, home appliances, electronic devices, electrical components, air conditioners and compressor motors. Our most challenging project completed for Panasonic was the design and implementation of the construction of their factory for air conditioners, compressors and motors at Shah Alam, Selangor in 1987. This particular factory complex is a million square feet in built up areas. The need for a fast track design-and-build necessitated the use of specially designed pre-stressed beams and pre-fabrication type wall surrounds etc, and a local contractor completed the project within a record seven (7) months. Special emphasis was laid on design and construction to meet the requirement of the Client to install equipment as the construction of the project progressed. Our other established clients for electrical appliances are Daikin / OYL Manufacturing Co Sdn. Bhd., Samsung, Hitachi and Sharp.

e) Automotive Assembly Plant, Automotive Components One of our major Clients is Tan Chong Motors and its associated companies who are the franchise holder of Nissan and Renault vehicles. In 1976 Tan Chong Motors Sdn. Bhd. began their passenger car assembly plant project in Segambut, Kuala Lumpur. Throughout the years the plant has expanded to include the assembly of other type of vehicles. In 2006, we were appointed again as consultants for their new car assembly plant inclusive of Pre Delivery Inspection Centre (PDI) and Vehicle Delivery Centre (VDC) and Test Track for assembly of Nissan Cars in Serendah, Selangor amounting to approximately RM150 million. The planning and design of the various facilities took into account the assembly processes involving body assembly plant, trim and chassis plant, warehouses & stores, painting shops, effluent treatment plants, storage yards and special facilities for custom inspections for bonded areas. For a project of this magnitude, we were able to oversee local and foreign contractors that were engaged to carry out the construction of the said facilities. As a spin-off from this automotive assembly plant, the company is actively involved in the automotive component industry for the Tan Chong and APM Group in Pandamaran, Bukit Berunting and Seri Kembangan in Selangor. Another major client in this industry, that ought to be mentioned is TRW Automotive (formerly Lucas Varity). It is one of the world largest automotive supplier of car automotive parts such as braking system, electronic systems, occupant safety systems. Besides helping them to set up plants in Malaysia, we have done consultancy work for them in China.

f) Warehousing Warehouse is one of the buildings that are integral to a manufacturing complex. We have vast experience as consultant for warehouses ranging from custom bonded warehouses, simple layouts to one that is more sophisticated involving ASRS, tempering / cold room, flat floor, conveyors, special docking and incorporation of Packing Plants. Most warehouses are of wide span and need special design and compliance to fire – fighting requirements. Our major clients are Integrated Mitzs Sdn. g) Explosives & Ammunition From 1979 till today we have been involved in the planning, design and construction of factories for the manufacture of explosives, ammunition bullet, hand grenade, mortar bombs and assault rifles. Special attention need to be paid to the layout of building with respect to safety distances, security and lighting, magazine storage requirements, etc all to international standards. Some of our notable clients involved in the Explosive Industry are SME Ordnance and Tenaga Kimia Sdn. Bhd.
