Costas 3 Levels of QuestionsTo better understand the content of history, it is important to learn to think critically and to ask higher levels of questions. By asking higher levels of questions, you can deepen your knowledge and create connections to the content.

LEVEL 1 - Text Only The answer can be found in the text

This type of question asks for facts about what has been read.

LEVEL 2 - Text & Brain This type question still relies on the facts but the brain has to use the facts.

This type of question involves analyzing causes, making inferences (a guess), finding information to support arguments...

This type of question ask that judgments (opinions) be made from information. They judge the validity of ideas and justify opinions and ideas.
