When you press enter, the systems will automatically pick-up the unit of measure from the respective material master of the component & assign the valid from and valid to dates to the components. Also assign the Qty. Distribution Profile in respective grid material. If Header & Component materials are same grid then no need to assign the Qty. Distribution Profile.

Now enter the appropriate Base quantity for the Header Material as shown in the screen below. Base Qty. – The quantity of a component needed to produce the base quantity of a product or assembly. Here we are preparing the BOM for 01 PAA. So Base Qty. is 1.
