The mountain and the forest Codlea relief may differ in some steps that ascends to the mountain. Codlea (city and surroundings) is placed in the contact of Brasov Depression ( on Vulcan Valley ), and the Persani mountains. Named after the highest peak of mountains Persani - Magura Codlea, 1292m - Codlea mountains are at contact of Fagaras mountains with Persani mountains. From the distance, Magura Codlea, this mountain covered with rich deciduous forests (beech, oak, hornbeam, elm) mixed with conifers (spruce, fir), seems to some people a huge hat, to others a bucket, a cauldron opposite, even a dinosaur. In fact, others are animals who had their "home" in the Codlea woods (squirrel, fox, wolf lynx, wild boar, bear), with thrush birds( mierla , the cuckoo, piţigoiul) who "cheers" the trekking on paths mountain.
