Admission to the first Degree programme through online centralized allotment Online Registration and Allotment Details. > Based on eligibility, the candidate needs to register application online, for obtaining admission by opting multiple programmes in different colleges on a preferential basis. Admission - Community Quota (a). Application Application for admission must be made in the prescribed form bearing the College seal. 2. Admission - Community Quota(a). Application

Candidates appearing for interview must be accompanied by their guardians. The Principalreserves the right to refuse admission to any candidate who has been called for interviewwithout assigning reasons.

4. EnrolmentThe candidate who is selected at the interview will be enrolled immediately on payment

of the first instalment of tuition fee together with all other items of fees as given in page No. 49. The students belonging to Backward classes who are eligible for full fee concession shallremit the Caution and Laboratory deposits on enrolment. Students who complete their courseof study in March may collect their Caution Deposit refund before 1 May of the same year. Theunclaimed amount will be remitted to Government. Those who wish to leave the college in thefirst term shall remit the fees for the full term.

No candidate after admission will be enrolled or allowed to attend any class until he/shehas paid the first instalment of tuition fee together with laboratory fee and other fees andCaution Money. Fees once collected will not be refunded.

Any candidate who is found to have obtained admission using false documents will besummarily dismissed and whatever fees he has paid will be forfeited.

5. Withdrawal1. A student applying for a Transfer Cerficate shall be given the certificate only on payment of

all fees or other money due or such portion thereof as the Principal may seem fit todemand for the academic year in which he was enrolled. A penalty of Rs. 50 will becollected from every student applying for his/her Transfer Certificate after the first term ofthe academic year immediately following. Transfer Certificate of students who have ap-peared for a University Examination will be issued to them only after the publication of theresults of the examinations (see last page for form of Application for Transfer Certificate)

2. Any student applying for any certificate must state in the application all particulars re-quired for identification viz. full name (with initials) class in which last studied, class num-ber, admission number, group to which he/ she belongs and the year in which he/she leftthe college. If a reply by post is desired a self addressed stamped envelope must beenclosed.

3. A fee of Rs. 10 will be charged for the issue of a Conduct, Course, Identification or MedicalInspection Certificate from the present students of the college.

4. A fee of Rs.10 each will be charged for the issue of the following:-a. Attendance, Conduct, Course, identification or Medical Inspection Certificate after the

lapse of a term since the student left the college.b. A certified extract from any of the college records such as a certificate of date of birth.

5. A fee of Rs. 100 is charged for the issue of a duplicate Transfer Certificate.

6. Any student who leaves the college without the written permission of the Principal beforecompleting his course will receive no certificate of character. Any student who discontin-ues his study in the college without paying any arrears of fees or other dues shall receiveno cetificate.

7. Caution money will be refunded only at the end of a course after clearing the dues, if any.

6. Residence of Students1. All students who do not live with their parents or guardians shall reside only in lodgings

approved by the Principal.2. Students shall inform the college office full information regarding their residence,soonafter admission.

3. Change of residence, if any, should be reported immediately to the Principal.

7. Attendance1. Attendance will be taken daily at the beginning of each period. Absence during oneperiod will be counted as absence for half the day.

2. There shall be no less than 180 working days a year excluding examination days. Theminimum attendance for a year is 75% of the total working days.

3. Students are required to occupy their respective seats before the beginning of eachclass. They are not allowed to leave the classroom without the permission of the teacher.

8. Attendance certificateThe grant of the annual certificate of attendance shall be subject to the following conditions.

a. The certificate shall not be granted unless a student has completed the course ofinstruction to the satisfaction of the college authorities and his progress and conduct hasbeen satisfactory.b. A minimum attendance of 75% of the total working days of the year is required for theannual certificate. It is absolutely necessary for promotion and admission to the UniversityExamination.

c. Students whose attendance fall below this minimum shall apply for exemption throughthe principal to the University. The application for exemption shall be accompanied by aTreasury receipt of Rs. 100/- if the shortage is below 10 days and of Rs. 200 if the shortageis between 10 and 20 days. The reason for each day’s absence will have to be explained.In case of absence on account of illness a medical Certificate also has to be submitted.Exemption will not be granted more than once during a course.

N.B:- No application for exemption will be recommended by the Principal unless the Principalis satisfied that the shortage of attendance was due to causes beyond the student’s control.Ordinarily only long and continued illness will be accepted as a plea for shortage of attendance.Absence without leave will not be condoned under any circumstance.

9. Admission for a term for making up shortage of Attendance1 Students who are admitted for a term for making up shortage of attendance for thecourse which the student was undergoing should pay one-third of the tuition fees for the yeartogether with full special fees and caution deposit at the time of admission. Only formerstudents of the respective colleges should be admitted as term students.2. In the case of readmitted students (undergoing one year’s course) all fees includingspecial fees and caution deposit due for the whole year will be collected at the time ofadmission.

which his/her name is in the rolls of the college.

Provided that a student studying in Arts and Science College and Sanskrit Colleges, forDegree or Postgraduate course, after obtaining transfer certificate from the institution isadmitted to the same course of study in any other similar college, he/she shall not be calledupon to pay over again the fees already paid for the term in the college which issued the T.C.But special fees and caution deposit will have to be paid again at the new College.

10. Leave of absence1. No student shall absent himself from a class without leave.

2. Except for unforeseen causes, application for leave of absence recommended by thegroup tutors should reach the Principal before the commencement of the morning session(see last page for form of Application for leave)

3. A student absenting himself without leave for ten consecutive working days shall havehis name struck off the rolls and he shall be required to apply in the prescribed form for re-admission.

4. In the case of absence from any test paper, composition or other exercise, the misseditem must be answered and submitted to the teacher concerned. Otherwise the studentshall not be given attendance. He is also liable to other punishment.

5. Each student is expected to keep his own record of attendance. The list of attendancegained by students till the end of each month will be published at the beginning of thesucceeding month.

11. Morning PrayerBefore the commencement of classes, every day, the ‘Daiva Dashakam’, written by HisHoliness Sree Narayana Guru, is played on the public address system. Staff and studentsshould stand in reverential silence during the invocation.

12. General discipline1. Students are expected to be clean and properly dressed in the class and also at anymeeting or gathering within the college premises.

2. At the first bell before each session, students should move towards their respectiveclasses and take their seats. When the teacher enters all shall arise and remain standingtill the teacher directs them to sit.

3. Students shall not misbehave and disturb the work of the class or of any other class.

4. No Student shall leave the classroom, without the permission of the teacher or until theclass is dismissed.

5. Students are not allowed to stand in the verandahs or corridors of the College during classhours. Students having no classes during the working hours shall go to the Library.

6. No Student shall smoke within the college premises.

7. Students are forbidden to mishandling or damaging College property.

8. Circulation of notice of any kind among students, use of megaphones, mobilephones,

loudspeakers etc. and putting up of posters in the college premises, without the writtenpermission of the Principal are strictly prohibited.

9. Students are strictly forbidden in making complaints or representations in a body, or inaddressing any authority collectively.

10. No meeting of any kind shall be held in the college without the written permission of thePrincipal.

11. Irregular attendance, insubordination to teachers, habitual abstaining from class work,obscenity in word or act are sufficient reasons for temporary or permanent dismissal of astudent. The punishment for minor offences is a fine.

12. Malpractice in test paper and examination will render a student liable to severe punishmentwhich might amount to refusal of promotion to the next class or expulsion from the college.

13. The use of mobile phone in the campus by the student is prohibited as per GovernmentOrder.14. The principal is empowered to fine or suspend or dismiss a student on the gravity of theoffence. Every offender will be given a chance to explain his/her conduct before punishment isgiven. However, a student may be sent out of the class at the discretion of the teacherconcerned prior to further disciplinary action.

15. Students who are found persistently misbehaving in the College will run the risk of gettingtheir fee and other concessions cancelled.

16. No Student or office-bearer of any association shall give any matter regarding the activitiesof the College to the Press without the prior permission of the Principal.

17. No office-bearer of any association shall mediate between the Principal and the studentsin matters concerning discipline.

Antiragging CellAs per the direction of the Honourable Supreme Court of India, andthe University Grants Commission, New Delhi, students who indulgein RAGGING of any kind will be seriously dealt with. Payment of FeesTuition fees shall be paid in 2 equal instalments of which, the first instalment together with

Library and other fees for the year and caution money shall be paid on enrolment.When the student leaves the college the caution deposit will be refunded on the production

of the receipt after deducting dues if any. Those who wish to leave the college in a term shallremit the fees for the full term. After the last day for payment of fees, the name of the defaulters will be removed from therolls, and they will be readmitted only on submitting application in the prescribed form,copies of which can be had from the office.

Three instalments of tuition fees will be collected each in the 1st and 2nd terms and theremaining two in the 3rd term.

Absence (with or without leave) from the College shall not be an excuse for non- paymentof fee at the proper time.

Students belonging to Other Backward Community need not pay fees if their guardian’sannual income does not exceed Rs. 25,000 in the case of Degree students and Rs. 42,000/- in the case of Post-graduate students. Students who have exemption from the payment offees under this rule must produce certificate from the Panchayat President / Muncipal Chairman/ MLA / M P/ Thahasildar of their place, that they belong to the Other Backward Communitiesand guardian’s income does not exceed the limits fixed for exemption from payment of fees.

College examination1. All classes will have two terminal examinations.2. In addition to this general examination, special test papers may begiven from time to time at the discretion of the Head of the Department.3. Promotion to II year Degree or III year Degree classes & selection, for theUniversity Examination depend on

a. the student’s progress as testified by his/her marks in the general and classexaminations.b. the regularity and punctuality of his/her attendance.c. his/her good behaviour and conduct inside and outside the college.

4. Exemption from attendance at the college examinations,class examinations and test papers is granted by the Principal on the recommendation of

Heads of Departments only for valid reasons.
