2, 4, 6, 8Homework 10s are really great1An 8Chapter 3 basically talks about human health and nutrition policies. Health and nutrition is an end to the means that is provided by the food systems. They are important inputs in the food system. This chapter tries to show a thorough relationship between the food systems and health and nutrition. 2A 10In my opinion I dont think the government should intervene in the production process directly (thats the job of the invisible hands). Their job is to provide a suitable condition where production process can take place effectively and efficiently such as, production of public goods; good roads, stable electricity and public hospitals. When all this are in place, they will serve as incentives for private investors which will provide employment for the society.3An 8The author says that Designing appropriate food and agricultural policies is essential in countries where food is barely enough for subsistence and rural poverty is widespread. (Andersen, 52). Furthermore, Watson measures the political will to reduce hunger in developing countries and finds that only a few countries demonstrate significant commitment and that commitment mechanisms are correlated with4A 10In chapter 3, the FAO and ILO stated that agriculture @is one of the three most dangerous sectors in which to work. I completely disagree with this statement. From my point of view, the three most dangerous sectors are the mining sector, oil and gas sector (off shore) and the constructing sector. In the mining sector. In chapter 4, von Mises stated that todays population is the result of past improvements in incomes and food production. This statement is not applicable to poor people. Poor people have low income.5Less than 7?Late?Short?Lower possible scoreI can see margin width, font size, & line spacingOr

6Maybe it was plagiarizedGovernments have most often been modeled as monolithic, single-purposed entities that impose desired policies on food systems.Government intervention is often motivated or legitimized by efficiency. Efficiency is most often defined as getting the most output per unit of input. An economy can produce many things, but if it fails to accomplish other societal goals, it is not very efficient.

7Correct CitationsThe textbook says that Governments have most often been modeled as monolithic, single purposed entities. I think this is appropriate becauseGovernments have most often been modeled as monolithic, single purposed entities (Pinstrup-Andersen and Watson, 2011, 8). I think this is appropriate beecauseThe authors talk about the importance of seeing conflict within governments, rather than thinking of them as monolithic, single-purposed entities (p. 8).

8This is NOT your own wordsGovernments ARE often modeled as monolithic, single-purposed entities that impose desired policies on food systems.THE NIGERIAN Government IS USUALLY modeled as A monolithic, single-purposed entitY that REGULATES desired policies on food systems.MANY ECONOMISTS THINKGOVERNMENTS ARE single-purposed, AND imposE desired policies on food systems.
