LAUREA MAGISTRALE = Master of Science (M.Sc.) The Master Courses last two years, in each semester students will attend: MONODISCIPLINARY and INTEGRATIVE lectures (Theory and Practice) LABORATORIO = DESIGN STUDIO (Project) Moreover students will attend: WORKSHOPS = One full week of intensive studio with the assistance of professors and professional companies. INTERNSHIP = Professional trainer ship within a company. (In the 2nd year)
THE COURSE

Each Master is divided in sections The main difference among the sections is defined by: The Laboratorio (Design Studio) The Workshop (Design Seminar) For the following Masters monodisciplinary courses are the same among the sections: DESIGN DELLA COMUNICAZIONE has 3 sections = C1 C2 C3 (all in Italian) DESIGN DEL PRODOTTO PER LINNOVAZIONE has 2 sections = PR1 PR2 (all in Italian) PRODUCT SERVICE SYSTEM DESIGN has 2 sections = PS1 PS2 (both in English) While other Masters have different courses in each section: DESIGN DEGLI INTERNI has 3 sections = I1 (in Italian) - I2 (some courses in Italian and some in English) - I3 (in English) DESIGN FOR THE FASHION SYSTEM has 2 sections = M1 (some courses in Italian) M2 (in English) DESIGN & ENGINEERING has 3 sections = DE1 DE2 DE3 (all in English and students has the option to select some courses in Italian)

In the following slides youll find the Course Structure of Each Master You can identify the different types of courses by the colour: LABORATORIO OR DESIGN STUDIO = in Which youll be divided according the section youve selected) MONODISCRIPLINARY COURSES = in which the sections are together ELECTIVE COURSES = Courses opened to all the Masters you can select to do them in the 1 or 2 sem DESIGN SEMINAR OR WORKSHOPS = Intensive Design studios in one full week divided by section INTERNSHIP = 250 hours of professional experience in the second year (1 or 2 semester)

One full week of intensive studio with the assistance of visiting professors and/or professional companies.

M.Sc. (Master of Science) The credit system ECTS represent the workload of the academic year of study: THE CREDIT SYSTEM 1CFU = 25 hours of workload (in class and outside) 6CFU = 50 hours of classes 12CFU = 120 hours of classes TYPES OF COURSES AND UNITS MONODISCIPLINARY and INTEGRATIVE lectures = 6CFU = 50 hours Design Studio = 12CFU = 120 hours Final Design Studio = 18 CFU = 180 hours Each course is composed by more than one teacher. EXAMS AND GRADES Exams are graded using a scale of 30 points, where 18 is the minimum passing grad and 30 cum laude the highest.

STUDY PLAN SUBMISSION OPENS AT BEGINNING OF EACH ACADEMIC YEAR* *1st Year Students arriving at 2nd semester : From February 3rd Until February 27th
Youll need to register the courses of the incoming 2nd semester (about 30 cfu)
STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO PRESENT AROUND 60CFU PER YEAR MINIMUM 30 CFU PER YEAR MAXIMUM 80 CFU PER YEAR Up to 73 credits the tuition pays doesnt change, including more credits the amount of the tuition fess will increase. Note: Students who dont do the study plan registration within the deadlines will be charged with 100euro.

Click in each of them on the square. All the courses must have at the end a GREEN CHECK MARK.
Click on SELECT FROM OPTION GROUP to see all the elective courses (only f you wish to attend it in the second semester)

You must attend ONE ELECTIVE COURSE PER ACADEMIC YEAR, the system will ask you to select 4 elective courses options in a preference order. In case your first option exceed the maximum number of students, you may be located in your second or third option.

In the end youll see in the screen listed the 4 elective courses you selected in a preference order. You can modify the order clicking in each one. Then click on CLOSE.
Some elective courses are in the 1 semester while others are in the 2 semester. Check also the language of the course, some of them are in English. HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR STUDY PLAN

Check that all the courses of the academic year youre attending have a GREEN CHECK MARK.
Verify the NUMBER OF CREDITS there should be around 30 CREDITS.

Once youre sure of your selections click on: SAVE PLAN to save the receipt in pdf.
Make sure to make the registration of the study plan within the deadlines, otherwise youll have a charge in your tuiton fees!
You can change your study plan as often as you please before the deadline. After 27 February, the study plan can no longer be changed!
