(1Th 1:5) For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance;

as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your

sake.

The Ingredients of the Gospel

(1Co 15:1-4) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye

have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered

unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And

that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

I. The gospel Starts with the Word

(1Th 1:5) For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the

Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what

manner of men we were among you for your sake.

(Rom 10:17) So then faith cometh by hearing, and

hearing by the word of God.

(1Pe 1:23) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of

incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

(1Th 1:5) For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance;

as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your

sake.

(Rom 1:16) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that

believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

(1Co 1:18) For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish

foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

(1Co 1:23-24) But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a

stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are

called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

(Luk 4:32) And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his

word was with power.

(1Co 4:19-20) But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know,

not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power. For the kingdom of

God is not in word, but in power.

Ghost

(Joh 14:16-17) And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may

abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot

receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you,

and shall be in you.

(Joh 14:26) But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will

send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your

remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

(Joh 16:13-14) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you

into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear,

that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for

he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

(Heb 9:12-14) Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living

(1Pe 1:4-5) To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that

fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be

revealed in the last time.

(2Ti 1:12) For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not

ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is

able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
