And to get us out of the house this winter, how about a warm, cozy weekend of sewing at our “Cabin Fever Spring Log Cabin Retreat.” We all know there is only a few things better than snuggling in a warm, cozy, handmade quilt on a cold Nebraska day. We also know how great you feel when you give a quilt to someone and watch them cuddle up in it. It seems to be getting tougher and tougher these days to find any time to make or finish those special items for our friends and family, so come in for a class where you can turn off your phone, get away from the computer and enjoy some time with friends at Country Traditions. Here, with the guidance of our instructors, you will be well on your way whether you are starting a new project or needing to finish up an old one. We also have a variety of classes planned this quarter like baby boots, t-shirt kits, wall hangings, and quilts of all sizes. If you have a friend or family member that would like to learn the in’s and out’s of quilting, we will have Beginning Quilting 101 starting February 28. This is a five week class that will guide you through picking out the fabric, cutting out the pieces, sewing it together, and binding the finished project. On April 25th, the Machine Quilting Basics Class will show you how to machine quilt your finished projects using your Pfaff Machine. A New Year means new possibilities, therefore, we have 3 “NEW” Saturday Sampler Projects to choose from. If you like using different decorative stitches on your machine, the Stitcher’s Garden II is for you. Scott will have you “growing” your garden by Spring. For the person that wants to take their machine embroidering to the next level, we recommend doing the Embroidered Feathered Star sampler. With the use of your embroidery machine, this quilt is beautiful and completely quilted when done! Finally, we have the “NEW” Stars Of Time Sampler. This quilt is great for a beginner as well as an advanced quilter who may not have as much time for a class, but wants to enjoy the company of great quilters.
