TEACHER & CLASS INTRODUCTION

READING IS AN INTERVENTION CLASS/LAB THAT WILL HELP STUDENTS IMPROVE THEIR READING SKILLS AND ALSO GIVE THEM THE REINFORCEMENT THEY NEED TO HELP GET THEM READY FOR THE END OF THE YEAR ASSESSMENT. STUDENTS WILL BE IN THE SAME CLASS FOR TWO HOURS EACH DAY. ONE HOUR WILL BE DEVOTED TO TEACHING READING STRATEGIES AND THE OTHER HOUR WILL BE SPLIT INTO THREE DIFFERENT STATIONS: COMPUTER TUTORIALS, SMALL GROUP LEARNING, AND SILENT/INDEPENDENT READING.

CLASS PROCEDURES 1. WHEN STUDENTS ENTER THE CLASS, THEY SHOULD GO DIRECTLY TO THEIR SEAT AND BEGIN THE BELL RINGER.  

2. A CLASS MONITOR WILL BE DESIGNATED EACH WEEK TO TAKE CARE OF ALL CLASSROOM DUTIES SUCH AS PASSING OUT PAPERS AND SHARPENING PENCILS. 

3.STUDENTS WILL GET PERMISSION FROM TEACHER BEFORE SPEAKING OUT OR LEAVING THEIR SEAT.

4. STUDENTS WILL MOVE TO CENTERS QUIETLY AND AT THE DESIGNATED TIME.

5. STUDENTS WILL COMPLETE THEIR TASKS IN AN ORDERLY MANNER.

4.THE CLASS MONITOR WILL PLACE ALL TRASH IN THE GARBAGE AT THE END OF CLASS.

5.STUDENTS WILL BE DISMISSED BY THE TEACHER BY ROWS.

• STUDENT OF THE MONTH: STUDENTS WILL NOT BE CHOSEN ACCORDING TO GRADES BUT LEADERSHIPS SKILLS.

• ALL STUDENT OF THE MONTH RECIPIENTS WILL BE PLACED IN A RAFFLE FOR THE END OF THE YEAR RAFFLE.

• ALL HONOR ROLL STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE SOME FORM OF REWARD.
