FAAA is in the process of getting accredit-ed for FAACT (www.FAACT.us) CME certi-fication. FAACTCME credits are accepted continuing medical education credits by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA) and the Florida Board of Medicine.

The Foundation for Advancement of the Anesthesia Care Team necessitates that CME activities be designed to change competence, performance, or patient outcomes as described in the CME mission statement:

The continuing medical education mission of the Foundation for Advancement of theAnesthesia Care Team is to support the professional development of members of the Perioperative Anesthesia Care Team (PACTTM) through educational activities designed to change competence, perfor-mance and/or patient outcomes.

ACLS/PALS Recertification

Per NCCAA, ACLS and PALS CME credits can be accepted credits if the following requirements are met:

ACLS/PALS instruction will be tabulat-ed as anesthesia-related content and shall be eligible for submission provided the instructional course is approved by either the AMA, AAPA, ACCME or AHA. The practitioner must obtain and submit a certificate of CME credit awarded for the ACLS/BLS course to be eligible for regis-tration. A maximum of 4 hours of CME credit will be recognized by NCCAA for any ACLS or PALS course regardless of the credit awarded on the certificate from the approved provider.
