No. 7 steel crochet hook, Some sort of stuffing, (I used two foam ear plugs that are tapered on one end and flat on the other end, I place the first one with the tapered end to the nose, then put the flat side of the other one next to the flat side of the first one with the tapered side to the tail), however, any sort of stuffing will work. NOTE: This pattern will be worked from the inside, as you crochet, the wrong side of the work will be on the outside. You will not join the rnds, but mark the beginning of each rnd as you work. RND 13: Start of Back Fin: 1 sc in each of next 5 sc, ch 3, 1 sc in each of next 11 sc.

(16 sc) NOTE: You can start putting in the stuffing now.

RND 14: 1 sc in each of next 5 sc, "1 sc in ch 1, 1 hdc - 1 dc - 1 hdc in ch 2, 1 sc in ch

3"(fin), 1 sc in each of next 11 sc.

RND 15: 1 sc in each of next 5 sc, "1 sc in next sc, 1 hdc in next st, 1 dc - 1 tr - 1 dc in

RND 16: 1 sc in each of next 5 sc, Skip Fin: (7 sts), 1 sc in each of next 5 sc, work 3 sc

dec's over the next 6 sts.

RND 17: 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, work 2 sc dec's over the next 4 sts., 1 sc in each of

next 6 sc. (11 sc)

RND 18: 1 sc in each of next 11 sc around. (11 sc)

RND 19: 1 sc in each of next 9 sc, work 1 sc dec over the next 2 sts. (10 sc)

RND 20: 1 sc in each sc around. (10 sc) NOTE: You can work from this rnd to make a

very long tail section that will curl around to form a ring when done. You will tack this

in place as you wish, you can have the dolphin jumping through a hoop or just curl the

tail section so the tail fins are somewhere by the head, then tack it in place. Repeat rnd

20 to about the 28th rnd, stuffing as you work. Then work from rnd 23 through to the end

to finish the dolphin.

RND 21: Repeat 20

RND 22: Repeat 20

RND 23: 1 sc in each of next 4 sc, work 2 sc dec's over the next 4 sts, 1 sc in each of

next 2 sc. (8 sc)

RND 24: 1 sc in each sc around. (8 sc)

RND 25: Repeat 24

RND 26: Repeat 24.

Row 27: Flatten the piece together now and work in rows. Ch 1, and working through

both thicknesses, work 4 sc's across.

Row 28: Ch 4 (first tr), 2 tr in first sc (3 tr); 1 dc - 1 hdc - 1 sc in next sc, 1 sc - 1 hdc - 1

dc in next sc, 3 tr in last sc. Break off and weave in the ends.
