KANSAS C INTER NATI
AIRPO
T:111 HlftSIJ CITY~ ARIA . ... .
:..:
Of real pride is Kansas City's magnificent, new modern airport of the future. It's tremendous in size the way an international airport should be, but with the utmost in passenger convenience. When you arrive, your bags are right there. At KCI, the walking distance from your plane to awaiting transportation will be as little as 75 feet. It's more than an airport ... it's a people port.
There's something electric that happens to music in Kansas City. It started with jazz that's part of Kansas City's tradition. But there's so much to light up your night-time. Rock, opera, ballet, the Philharmonic, dinner-theatres, professional repertory theatre. You'll look and listen in cabarets, night clubs, restaurants and theatres.
FOR THE SPORT OF IT ALL Kansas City is big league. See Chiefs football and Royals baseball in the spectacular, dual, Harry S. Truman Sports Complex. Plus, there's NBA basketball's K. C. Kings, the NAIA and Big 8 basketball tournaments, track meets and auto racing. Professional hockey and the nationally famous American Royal Livestock and Horse Show both are at home in the new, modernistic 16,000 seat Kemper arena.
TRUMAN LIBRARY • "The Man from Independence". The life, the career, the drama.
It's all recorded here just a short drive from the Hotel. The documents, art objects, and memorabilia are all displayed along with Thomas Hart Benton's mural, "Independence and the Opening of the West". Located on U.S. Highway 24 at Delaware just seven blocks north of the Truman home.

DATE: July 8, 1978 TIME: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
PRICE: AGES:
$12.00 per person Six years and up
Special supervision provided at the park for young people between the ages of six and ten years. Price includes all rides, transportation to and from World ' s of Fun on school buses, and supervision. Lunch is not provided and children should bring money for snacks and meals.
Guides N' G;ils has planned for you a "day of fun at World's of Fun'. World's of fun is really a fun place, with over sixty fantastic rides, shows, and other attractions to keep young and old busy all day. You will have free rein to enjoy each and every attraction as many times as you like all day long.
For high thrills how about a ride on the Zambesi Zinger, one of the world's fastest and most thrilling coaster rides that leaps through breathtaking curves and dips from a height of a 7 story building •••• or how about a spectacular Viking Boyager Flume ride. There's the old-fashioned cars, the old train depot that goes around the park, and the Sky Lift that goes over!
For pure entertainment, there is the puppet wagon, Tivoli Music Hall, or the Moulin Rouge, a live cast that will have you tapping your toes to their songs and dancing. On the Cotton Blossom showboat, you'll discover that old-fashioned melodrama has climbed aboard, complete with villain, lovely lass and last, but not least , "our hero".
Don't forget to stop by the Baltic Bazaar shops .•• • an old-time ice cream parlor, an apothecary and a magic shop. And how about that appetite? You will have a hard time selecting a favorite place to eat with all the snack bars, restaurants and cafeterias to choose from.
And while you're having all this fun, be on your guard, 'cause that ornery no-count Jesse James has staked a hideout there, so watch out for him and his gang of outlaws. All this and more is waiting for you, so come along and join the fun at World's of Fun.
THE NATIONAL DEPRESSION CLASS ASSOCIATION'S CHILDREN'S DAY AT WORLDS OF' FUN
