Take a journey down memory lane as this event gives you a unique opportunity to experience life in World War II and how both the military and civilians survived and adapted to war.

All of the action takes place at our Rowsley South Station site which is open to the public from 10.30 a.m. till 5.30 p.m on both days. There is a Normandy Cinema showing short films in the building at Darley Dale Station if you would like to break your train journey.

11.00 am First train departs from Rowsley South Station to Matlock.

11.15 am Entertainment with Brandyn Shaw - Impersonating Al Bowlly. (Marquee)

11.45 am Sing along with Natasha Harper. (Marquee)

11.54 am Train arrives with Casualties onboard.

12.15 pm In the Mood with Ashby Little Big Band and dancers Sue and Steve Mace. (Marquee)

1.00 pm Interview with US war correspondents. (Marquee)

1.00 pm Historical Talks. (Tent in Picnic area)

2.00 pm Firing of the 155mm Howitzer Gun. (Picnic area)

2.50 pm Mock Battle re-enactment complete with pyrotechnics. A small Russian Reconnaissance patrol is returning from a mission and is being pursued by the enemy. The Russians take cover in the woods to form an ambush. The Germans, stop a short distance from the woods and open fire with cannon and machine guns. The enemy call up more armoured vehicles including a halftrack, tank, armoured car and prepare for the inevitable battle. (Wooded area)
