watching the clock. (....) But all in all my time at the school was a good time where we actually

breakfast. The war was quite fresh, it had been ten years. Everything was
being rebuilt and people were penny-pinching. There was not a
serious lack of food, but I wouldn’t say there was an abundance of
food either. So we got ‘beschuit met muisjes (a sweet Dutch breakfast)
and jam’ on one day and on the other day we got: cheeeeese!”

and the Royal Dutch Family. I was one of the students
who was allowed to serve, amongst many other guests, Prince Bernhard.
The opening of the school meant the end of the period of
Assendelftstraat/Badhotel. We were lucky to have experienced both and we are now able to think
back to the times at the Assendelftstraat as well as the Brusselselaan. ”

1970Mr Overwater, French
lecturer, has new plans for managing the school. In 1970
those plans are realised.
Mr Overwater becomes Director of the school. Soon it shows that lecturers don’t have enough time to prepare their subject materials
according to the new method. It results in the resigning of
Mr Overwater and the school governors.

Thoughts of renewing and change are growing and in the coming years a foundation is created
for a modern management course.
1976The school changes to an internationally operating institute.

starts with the Hotelschool 2000 project, the answer of Hotelschool The Hague to the latest
