Lauren BeckettLauren Beckett is the daughter of Lu-
cinda and Ken Beckett. While in high school, Lauren was ac-
tive in choir (10-12; district choir) and drama (12).
Lauren’s favorite teacher was a teach-er from Jefferson Jr. High School, Mrs. Cleppe.
Lauren plans to go to college after graduation.
She would like to say a special thanks to “my grandpa for giving me advice and helping me through diffi cult times. I also want to thank Papa Lonnie for always put-ting me in a better mood and believing in me.
Hayleigh Michele BrunkhorstHayleigh Michele Brunkhorst is the
daughter of Neal and Karen Brunkhorst. While in high school, Hayleigh was ac-
tive in softball (9-12; captain-12), basket-ball (9-12; All-Conference honorable men-tion-11, 12; captain-11, 12), FCCLA (9-12; president-12), NHS (11-12), FFA (9-12; parliamentarian-10), Falcon Club (10-12; vice president-12), Spanish Club (9-12; vice president-12), and FTA (10-12; secre-tary-12). Hayleigh was also a Renaissance Card holder (9-12).
Hayleigh’s favorite teacher was Ms. Bloom because “whenever someone needed help or someone to talk to, she was there for them and she always kept class entertaining.”
After high school, Hayleigh plans to at-tend Northwest Missouri State University, where she will major in Agricultural Busi-ness.
Hayleigh would like to say “thank you to my parents and family for making it possible for me to get this far, my coaches for push-ing me to do my best, Mr. Judd for support-ing all the students in what they do, and all the teachers for everything they do.”
DaShayla BushDaShayla Bush is the daughter of Steve
Bush and Teresa Crump. While in high school, DaShayla was
active in Black Experience Club (9-12), Spanish Club (9-12), ISE (9-11), and Dra-ma Club (9-12). DaShayla was also a Re-naissance Bronze Card holder (9-12).
DaShayla’s favorite teacher was Mrs. Uthlaut because “even though she was always on me to get my work done, she was always there with a listening ear, wise words to share and a good laugh daily.” DaShayla’s most memorable high school memory was starting a fi re freshman year in Physical Science.
After high school, DaShayla plans to attend Metro Business College, where she will major in Massage Therapy.
DaShayla would like to say, “thanks to Mark B. for never giving up on me and pushing me to reach my goals, and to my dad for always being there, telling me right from wrong and guiding me. I love you guys.”
Taylor Michelle ClaytonTaylor Michelle Clayton is the daugh-
ter of Kevin and Rebecca Clayton. While in high school, Taylor was active
in Drama (9-12), ISE (9-12), Black Expe-rience (9-11), SADD (9-11), and Spanish club (9-12).
Taylor’s favorite teacher was Mr. Hutchinson because “I’ve learned a lot from him, both in terms of school and the future. He helped me with many different things and I am now looking forward to what life will bring me.”
After high school, Taylor plans to at-tend Moberly Area Community College for two years, then transfer to the Uni-versity of Central Missouri to fi nish off a major in Business and Management. After that, she plans to attend culinary school.
Taylor would like to say “thank you to my parents, family, and friends for help-ing me get through school and helping me make it this far in life. I couldn’t have done any of this without you.”

Fayette High School — Class of 2012
Sativa CottonSativa Cotton is the daughter of Heath-
er Painter and Chris Cotton. Sativa’s high school career has helped
her prepare to start her own day care. Her favorite memory is recalling the
time “when Cynthia fell in the lake at D.C. Rogers.”
She identifi ed her favorite teacher as “Miss Billie because she helps me get through everything and will always be there.”
Sativa would like to say a special thank you to “my family for supporting me and to all my teachers for pushing me to gradu-ate.”
Krey CowansKrey Cowans is the grandson of Dar-
lene Cowans. During high school, Krey was active
in Black Experience Club (9-12), Span-ish Club (9-12), Falcon Club (10-12), and Student Council (9-12). He participated in track, was First Team All-Conference in basketball and was selected on the KMZU basketball Dream Team.
Krey’s favorite teacher was Mrs. Valen-cia “because she helped me with anything. She is like my second mom.”
His future plans include attending Moberly Area Community College.
He would like to thank the Fayette High School staff, his family and friends for “al-ways telling me I can do anything if I set my mind to it.”
Thomas James CrosbieThomas James Crosbie is the son of
Mike and Kathy Crosbie. While in high school, Tommy was a
Renaissance Card holder all four years. Tommy’s favorite teacher was Ms.
Bloom because “even though she made us do a lot of work in her class, her class was always the one we had the most fun in.”
Tommy’s favorite high school memory “was all the things that my class has done as a whole over the years to create memo-ries.”
Tommy plans to take a little break from school and attend Moberly Area Commu-nity College.
Tommy would like to say “thank you to my father who helped me get to where I am in life. I couldn’t have done it without you.”
Tori Jean DurhamTori Jean Durham is the daughter of
Sheila Stephenson. During high school, Tori was a member
of FCCLA. Her favorite teacher is Ms. Cochran
who she credits for “getting me where I am today.”
Her favorite memory is of her friend’s outfi t on gender-bender day.
Tori plans to attend cosmetology school after graduation.
She would like to send out a special thanks “to Ms. Cochran, Mrs. Huster and Mr. Rapert for all their support.”

Brittany Mae ElliottBrittany Mae Elliott the daughter of
Tyra and Trish Elliott. During her high school career, Brit-
tany was active in FFA (09-12; secretary 9-10; president 10-11, past president 12), FCCLA (10-12; vice president 11-12), National Honor Society (10-12), Student Council (9-11), and Math and Science Club (9-12). Brittany was also a Renaissance Sil-ver Card holder (9) and a Gold Card holder (10-12).
Brittany’s favorite teacher was Mrs. Swanson because “even though she had high expectations she always worked with us when planning test and assignment dates.”
After high school, Brittany plans to at-tend the University of Missouri and pursue a degree in Animal Science.
Brittany received the MFA Scholarship and was recently awarded the area IV FFA Veterinary Science profi ciency award.
Brittany would like to say “thanks to my family for helping me get to where I am and putting up with my stressed-out moments, and to my friends for always being there.”
Rodneisha Shaleigh EstesRodneisha Shaleigh Estes is the daughter
of Donald and Carlis Jackman. While in school, Neisha was active in
FHS marching band (9-12; All Conference 9,12), fl ag team (12), and choir (9-11; All District 9-10), Black Experience (9-12; vice pres.), International Student Exchange (9-12; vice pres.), Math and Science Club (10-12), FTA (9-12), and a Renaissance Bronze Card holder (9-12).
Neisha’s favorite teachers are Mrs. Smith, Ms. Floyd, Mrs. Uthlaut, and Ms. Williams. “They were ones who never gave up on me and always kept me on track.”
Neisha’s favorite high school memory was “when I asked Mr. Bryan to go to the bathroom, but came back with a big bag of potato chips. I had the whole class laugh-ing.”
After high school, Neisha plans to attend The Art Institute of Los Angeles to pursue a degree in Fashion Marketing.
Neisha wants to say, “Thank you to my mom, aunt Monica, and Memaw. They have
Ronnia Shanquail EstesRonnia Shanquail Estes is the daughter
of Donald and Carlis Jackman. During high school, Ronnia was active
in the FHS marching and concert bands (9-12), the FHS speech team (9-12), Academic Bowl Team, NHS (11-12; president 12) and was a Renaissance Gold Card holder (9-12). Ronnia is most proud of her fourth-place district storytelling awards (9 & 12).
Ronnia’s favorite teachers are Mrs. Mon-nig, Ms. Bloom, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Uthlaut, and Ms. Williams because “they believed in me when no one else did. They gave me the strength I needed to apply to my dream col-lege and I GOT IN!”
Ronnia’s favorite high school memory is being in the FHS Band, and “the way people looked at our band uniforms at competitions because we were just THAT GOOD!”
Ronnia would like to say “thank you to my mother, my aunt, and my Memaw be-cause without them, I wouldn’t know that I am beautiful and that I can accomplish any-thing I put my mind to. I would also like to
Derek W. EversDerek W. Evers is the son of Cody
Evers and Linda Evers. While in high school, he was a member
of FFA (9-10), a Renaissance Silver Card holder (9-11), and a Renaissance Gold Card holder (12).
Derek’s favorite teacher is Mr. Rich-ardson of MATC because “even though he was my teacher for a single year, he set me on the right path about college and taught me more that single year than any other teacher did in high school.”
Derek plans to attend Linn State Tech-nical College in the fall and major in Net-working.
Derek would like to say “thank you to my parents, my sister Brandy Maupin, and my two brothers, Chad Sulltrop and Colby Evers.”

Jessica Renee GarrettJessica Renee Garrett is the daughter of
Allen and Cindy Garrett. While in high school, Jessica was active
in softball (9-12), basketball (9-11), track (9-12), Student Council (12), FCS (9-12), Math and Science club (9-12), band (9-12), choir (9-12), and Falcon Club. Jessica was also a Renaissance Silver Card holder (9, 11, 12).
Jessica’s favorite teacher was Mrs. Smith because “she was always so happy and wanting to help me. I felt like I could go to her with anything, whether it was school-related or not.”
Jessica’s favorite high school memory was marching band season.
After high school, Jessica plans to at-tend Evangel University, where she will major in Intercultural Studies, Deaf Min-istry, and ESL.
Jessica would like to say “thank you to my family for always supporting me and being a big encouragement. I’d also like to say thanks to my teachers and coaches that I’ve had the past four years.”
Kayla GerltKayla Gerlt is the daughter of Willa and
Gordon Gerlt. While in high school, Kayla was active
in Student Council (9) and FFA (9-12: re-porter 10, vice president 11, and treasurer 12). Kayla was also a Renaissance Card holder (9-12).
Kayla’s favorite teacher was Mr. Hutchinson “because he always made class fun, and never sugar-coated anything.”
Kayla’s favorite high school memory was “all the fun times that I had with my friends.”
After high school, Kayla plans to attend State Fair Community College to get her Pharmacy Tech degree, and then transfer to the University of Missouri-Kansas City to major in Pharmacy.
Kayla would like to say “thank you to my friends and family who have supported me throughout high school. I couldn’t have done it without y’all.”
Brandon J. GilmoreBrandon J. Gilmore is the son of Paul
and Kim Gilmore. Brandon was active in basketball (9-
12), baseball (11-12) and Black Experi-ence Club (12) during his high school years.
His favorite high school memory is “beating Salisbury in extra innings my se-nior year of baseball.”
After high school, Brandon plans to study to be a police offi cer at Moberly Area Community College.
His favorite teacher was Ms. Billie Williams.
Brandon would like to thank “my par-ents for supporting me through thick and thin. I am forever grateful.”

Garrett Jacob GaringGarrett Jacob Garing is the son of Hope
Ashby and Richard Garing. While in high school, Garrett was active
in FTA (9-12; president-12), SADD (9-12; secretary-11, senior chairman-12), Service Learning (9-11; secretary-10), Black Ex-perience (12; secretary), Math and Science Club (10-12), FFA (9,11) ISE (9-12; trea-surer-10), and several other school clubs. Garrett was also a Renaissance Silver Card holder (9) and a Bronze Card holder (10-11). In the summer of 2011, Garrett was chosen to attend Missouri Boys State.
Garrett’s favorite teachers were Ms. Bloom and Mrs. Straatmann because “they were the most helpful in many ways and they both made class really fun.”
Garrett’s favorite high school memory was “hanging out with friends every week-end and cruising around town.”
Garrett plans to attend Central Methodist University, where he will major in Business.

Christopher David GriffittsChristopher David Griffi tts is the son of
Brian and Kristie Griffi tts. While in high school, Chris’ favorite
activity was choir. His favorite teacher was Ms. Hussey
because “she was always there for me when I needed her help and could always make me laugh.”
Chris’ favorite high school memory was when he got awarded for his good grades his junior year.
Chris would like to say thanks “to everyone who helped me through high school.”
Dillan GrosvenorDillan Grosvenor is the son of Joe and
Donnell Grosvenor. While in high school, Dillan partici-
pated in football (9-12), and was a captain his senior year. He participated in track his freshman year and baseball his dur-ing his senior year. He was the president of the Spanish Club, secretary of National Honor Society, and historian of Math and Science Club. He also attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy and Missouri Boys State.
After high school, Dillan plans to attend the University of Missouri where he will participate in ROTC and major in Soil, En-vironmental, and Atmospheric Sciences.
Dillan would like to thank his parents, “especially my father for always being there and leading me on a path toward suc-cess.”
Vince HilderbrandVince Hilderbrand is the son of Tom
and Leigh Hilderbrand. While in high school, Vince was active
in football (9-12; All-Conference honor-able mention defensive end - 11, fi rst team All-Conference defensive end - 12, second team All-Conference offensive line - 12, fi rst team All-District defensive end -12, second team All-Conference offensive line -12), baseball (9-10), Falcon Club (10-12), FFA (9-11), ISE (10-12), and FCCLA (12).
His favorite teacher was Mr. James because “he was the most fun teacher. He made school fun and learning fun.”
His favorite high school memory was football. He plans to attend power lineman school in Kansas City, Mo.
Vince would like to say “thank you to my mom and dad for getting me through high school, coming to all my sporting ac-tivities, and making me try my best.”
Shahriah Bret-Holli HillShahriah Bret-Holli Hill is the daughter
of Pamela Hill and Darren Tindall. During her high school years, Shahriah
was in Spanish (9-10), Black Experience (9-12), and Drama (9) clubs. Shahriah was also a Renaissance Silver Card holder (12).
Shahriah’s favorite teacher was Mr. ‘Hutch’ because “he always liked to joke around; but when he wanted his students to be serious, he made sure they got serious.”
After high school, Shahriah plans to go to Central Methodist University to get a degree in Nursing.

Cynthia Mae HughesCynthia Mae Hughes is the daughter of
Nora Hughes.Cynthia has used her high school career
to help prepare her to be successful in a ca-reer in nursing, and will begin her college study at Moberly Area Community Col-lege this fall.
Her favorite high school memory is “when I embarrassed myself falling into the lake my freshman year.”
She identifi es Ms. Billie Williams as her favorite high school teacher, crediting her by saying, “If it wasn’t for her, I don’t think I would have made it through high school.”
Cynthia would like to “say thanks to my mom and my teachers for supporting me through high school.”
Ariana Marie JohnsonAriana Marie Johnson is the daughter
of Norman and Robin Johnson.During high school, Ariana “gained
confi dence in herself and made new friends” by being active in International Student Exchange Club and Drama Club.
After high school, she plans to join the Air Force and become a Cryptologic Lin-guist. “I have always dreamed of traveling the world and leaning the cultures of for-eign lands.”
She credits Fayette High School with helping her discover her true talents as well as her future career.
Ariana would like to give a special thanks, saying “without the help of my family and friends, both earthly and heav-enly, I would never have fi gured out what I was going to do after high school. And thank you to all of the teachers who en-couraged me, even during my down days.”
J’Levonte James Kenneth Johnson
J’Levonte James Kenneth Johnson is the son of Denise V. Johnson.
While in high school, J’Levonte was active in track (9-12), basketball manager (9-12), football manager (9-12), and Black Experience (9-10). He was also a Renais-sance Bronze Card holder (10-12).
J’Levonte’s favorite teacher was Mrs. Terry Bentley and Ms. Billie Williams be-cause “she was like a mother to me, and took care of me as if she was.”
J’Levonte’s favorite high school mem-ory was when he was Homecoming atten-dant freshmen year.
His future plans after high school are to go to Moberly Area Community College and major in Art and Journalism.
J’Levonte would love to say “thanks to my mother, family, teachers, and my friends, because without them where would I be? So, thanks for all your support throughout my life, and Brian for making high school more fun.”

Lauren’s favorite teacher was Señora Bloom because “she was always there if I needed help with something, and she al-ways gave the best advice.”
Lauren’s favorite high school memory was “getting to be a part of the Falcon Pride Marching Band and receiving the awards at all of the competitions that we attended over the years.”
After high school, Lauren will attend Moberly Area Community College and continue on to receive a Bachelor’s degree at Central Methodist University.
Lauren would like to say “thank you to all my family and friends for the support and guidance. I couldn’t have done it with-out you all.”

Courtney Lorraine LeatonCourtney Lorraine Leaton is the daugh-
ter of Patricia Leaton and Larry Leaton.While in high school, Courtney was
active in band (9), basketball (9-11), FFA (9-11; Chapter Degree), Math and Science Club (9-12), and Student Council (12). She was awarded the School Board Aca-demic Achievement Award all four years. Courtney was also a Renaissance Gold Card holder (9-12).
After high school, Courtney plans to at-tend the University of Missouri, where she will major in Animal Science.
Courtney would like to say “thank you to my parents for helping me get to this point in my life.”
Taylor Marie LyonTaylor Marie Lyon is the daughter of
Richie and Christy Lyon.While in high school, Taylor was active
in varsity football and basketball cheer-leading (9), track (9), FFA (9, 10, 12), Spanish Club (10-12), and FCCLA (9-11).
Taylor’s favorite teacher was Mr. Hutchinson because “he’s real and doesn’t sugar-coat things. He tells it like it is and does his best to prepare us for life after high school. He is also very funny and keeps class entertaining.”
After high school, Taylor plans to at-tend State Fair Community College and major in Nursing. Taylor then plans to at-tend the University of Missouri to get her Master’s degree in Nursing. Taylor would like to say “thank you to my wonderful parents and family for being so support-ive and pushing until I accomplished my dreams. I couldn’t have done it without you all. I love you guys!”
Bruce Kent MarshallBruce Kent Marshall is the son of Kent
and Deborah Marshall.While in high school, Bruce was active
in varsity basketball (9-12; All-District First Team – 11, 12, All-State Coach’s and Media First Team -12, KRES All-Star -12), Spanish Club (9-11), Falcon Club (10-12; president - 12), ISE (9-10), and was also a Renaissance Silver Card holder (10-12).
Bruce’s favorite teacher was Chris Ken-drick because “he has always been there as a mentor and coach, and will continue to be in my life even after high school.”
Bruce’s favorite high school memory was beating No. 1-ranked Salisbury in the Falcon’s Courtwarming matchup his junior year.
After high school, Bruce plans to attend Missouri State University, where he will play basketball.
Bruce would like to say “thank you to my parents for believing in me through-out the years, to Nate Breland for every-thing you have done, and to Leon Threat for helping me achieve a major goal in my life.”
Dominick MauzeyDominick Mauzey is the son of Brenda
Mauzey.During high school, Dominick focused
on the skills and information needed to se-cure a job after high school. He looks for-ward to fi nding the perfect job to support himself and his future plans.
His favorite memory was “when we went out the lake our junior year.”

Katrina MorrisKatrina Morris is the daughter of Har-
old and Daphne Morris.While in high school, Katrina was ac-
tive in FFA (11) and was also a Renais-sance Bronze Card holder (10-12).
Katrina’s favorite teacher was Mr. Hutchinson because “he teaches a subject that I am interested in and he’s a laid-back teacher. He is someone I look up to.”
After high school, Katrina plans to at-tend Moberly Area Community College and study Nursing and become a Regis-tered Nurse.
Katrina would like to thank her mom and dad and the rest of my family for being there for her.
Dustin MurdockDustin Murdock is the son of Paul

district in the beginning of his senior year. As a high school student in the schools he attended, he was in soccer (9-11) and track (9-12).
His favorite memory is the “day that I found my inner ninja.”
His plans for after high school are to join the Navy and go into the Nuclear En-gineering program.

Kelly Beth MoorKelly Beth Moor is the daughter of Mark
Moor and Janell and Mike Dimond.Through high school, Kelly was in band
(9-12), choir (10-12), Fellowship of Chris-tian Students (9-12; vice president -12), Stu-dent Council (11-12), and National Honor Society (11-12).

Maggie’s favorite high school memory “was in freshman Physical Science when I accidentally caught the lab on fi re. My group had the warmer on a little too hot, and when a paper towel landed on it, it caught fi re. My whole lab group had to come in after school to clean up the mess the fi re extinguisher left.”
After high school, Maggie plans to at-tend Maryville University of St. Louis, where she will major in Physical Therapy.

Ronnie RidgwellRonnie Ridgwell is the son of Lisa
Buckler and Dale Ridgwell.Ronnie was involved in FFA all four
years, earning his Greenhand degree. He was voted to have “the worst car” during Senior Superlatives.
Ronnie’s favorite teachers are Ms. Hussey and Ms. Cochran because “they both have been there for me and helped me get my grades up. During my sophomore year it seemed everyone had given up on me, and look at me now — I am graduat-ing!”
Ronnie plans on joining the U.S. Ma-rine Corps after graduation.

active in Drama Club (9-12; secretary -11, 12), Spanish Club (9, 11, 12), SADD (9-12; board of directors -12), and band (9-12; drum major 10-12). Mackenzie also par-ticipated in speech, placing at districts her freshman and senior years. She was a del-egate to Missouri Girls State in 2011.
Mackenzie had a tie for favorite teacher between Ms. Floyd, because “she is always there and I feel that I can talk to her about anything” and Mr. Hutchinson, because “he always says the truth and doesn’t sugar-coat it. That’s why his classes are so fun.”
