Call for Presentations to the Stainless Steel World Conference 2019 Giving a presentation at the conference

Types of presentationsIf your presentation is about the applica-tion and use of stainless steels and/or exotic alloys in the world around us then we want to hear from you. It can concern: new product grades and products, new developments and technologies; challeng-es and solutions to your every working life with regard to these materials; dis-cuss latest trends or advances in specific industries and markets; delve into safety standards; or even address any other issues of interest to the global stainless steel community.

Let us hear your voiceSubmit an abstract and express your views and opinions! One of the best ways to get your ideas across to peers in the indus-try is to stand up and speak out. Do not, therefore, miss this opportunity to let us hear your voice and your passion for your work. Anyone and everyone has the ability to do this providing they are driven with what they do in their working lives and have thought well and prepared carefully about what they want to present. If you are unsure of a theme discuss it among your colleagues, friends, and within your man-agement, and then propose this spark of an idea to us through an abstract. It could well make a difference to the industry and to you personally! Help us to achieve our goals to foster the exchange of knowledge and expertise across the international

stainless steel community. We can only do this with your commitment, enthusiasm, and talent. Come and join and make new peer friends and expand your network. We guarantee that you will certainly have some unforgetable and worthwhile fun. Acceptance of presentations· Authors will be notified as to whether their abstract has been accepted by 15 May 2019. Final versions of full-length presentations are due by 1 October 2019 and can be delivered in PowerPoint form (max. 30 slides).

· All presenters will receive a 25% re-duction on conference fees. End-user delegates at the conference will receive a 50% reduction on conference fees. Spe-cial student rates are also available.

If you would like to give a full length oral presentation for the conference then please submit an abstract of 300-400 words by 15 February 2019 to: sswconference@kci-world.com The abstract should include your name, job title, company name, full address details including your e-mail address, (working) presentation title, and 5 keywords, which will identify the main themes of your presentation.The abstract should outline the important points of your presentation and highlight the content to be communicated. Each accepted presentation will be allotted a total presentation time of 25 minutes: 20 minutes for the oral presentation and 5 minutes for discussion.

Selection of presentations

The final selection of presentations will be made for the conference by the International Steering Committee. Its members who will select the papers will be particularly looking for original work.

Criteria for selection (though not necessarily in this order) will be based on:· Quality of content· Innovation, relevance, and topicality· Focus on application experience· Presentation of case studies· Practicality in terms of challenges and/or solutions· Interest to a wide audience· Technicality as opposed to commerciality (overly commercial presentations

Machining World Exhibition 2019

Chairman at Stainless Steel World 2019

The chairman at Stainless Steel World 2019 will be Dr. Lars Rose. Dr. Rose works as Maintenance Manager for Dow DuPont Germany in the photopolymer printing plate business. He previously worked in Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance, as a Corrosion Engineer, as an Internal and External Auditor, and in Production and Product Sponsoring. He has worked in R&D and QA positions at the National Research Council, Max Planck Institutes for Polymers and Physics and at the Haldor Topsøe Risø facilities. He currently co-chairs the Materials Technology Institute EMEA division and leads a couple of industry spanning projects to advance process safety through improvements in alloys and heat treatments in the chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industry.
