The beginning and the end The rules Students work in small groups of two to six. Taking it in turns, they throw a dice to choose the section they work from: (1-3) beginnings (4-6) endings. Then from within whichever box correlates to their dice throw, the student selects a letter/sound. All of the students then have a minute to write down as many words as they can that use that sound. For example, if a student rolled a 3 they should pick from the prefix box. They might then choose the co-prefix and write down things like county, cow, corn etc. Students score one point for each word. The winner of each round is the student with the most words. The game can be varied by using dictionaries to help and providing longer time frames. The rules
