180 degree rule

180 Degree Rule The 180 degree rule is a rule the rule that ensures the characters in a scene should be shot from the same side in all scenes. For example, if a conversation is taking place and the first shots are taking from the left side of someone’s face, the next shots should also be taken from the left side of the persons face. In our opening sequence, we used the 180 degree rule throughout our whole opening sequence. When filming the first time, we didn’t keep the 180 degree in mind and so we broke it. However, the second time we filmed we ensured that we followed the rule and did not break it.
