• Hela Sarana plant is running well and is of great service to the people in the area. We are trying to send a 2-wheel tractor trailer with necessary tanks to try delivering water to the door step for the benefit of those who cannot come to the plant due to various reasons

• The plant funded by HS in Vavuniya district has been functioning quietly since July 2012. We never thought that people already affected with kidney failure will get relief. We were very pleasantly surprised to find out from their own words how much relief water from this plant has brought them.

• We now find that some affected families cannot afford to pay even this small amount to buy the water. We are thinking of 2 new approaches.1. Start a water delivery system to the door step to help those who are unable to come to the plant and get the water.2. Supply water free of charge to those families affected by CKDu but cannot afford to pay for the water. We have come across CKDu patients who go for dialysis every 3 or 4 days, but drink polluted water owing to poverty
