The care provided by Grand Strand Health goes beyond the medicine, beyond the clinical, beyond our training. This is a big, all-encompassing concept that we are committed to embracing daily. From the superior technology that provides best-in-class medical treatment to the thousands of little touch points that matter throughout the day, we are all driven by the desire to provide better care. This care understands detail and is empathetic to the human condition. It is connecting on an emotional level with not only the patients but the families who worry and care for them. Providing the best care is our motive. Our patients are our motivation.

Brand LogoThe Grand Strand Health LogoThis logo is our most significant element and how we are recognized by the world. It should not be altered in any way. Please use the approved logo artwork at all times. Approved logo artwork can be found at branding.grandstrandhealth.org.

Grand Stand Health Brand Logo OptionsThe primary Grand Strand Health brand logo should be used over white or light backgrounds. A reversed out version exists for dark backgrounds. For grayscale publications, the logo can be featured in white or black. Be mindful when placing the logo over imagery.

Clear Space and Size RequirementsThe appropriate logo size varies depending on the channel, but it should never be smaller than 1.5” wide. The logo must be legible and should not be recreated or distorted in any way. The required clear space around the logo is equal to the space inside the letter “d” in “Grand.”

Grand Strand Health logos should not be distorted or altered in any way. Each is purposely designed for maximum legibility and recognition. Please do not create a new version of any of our logos. When using one of our logos on a color background or over imagery, please ensure the logo is clearly legible.

Grand Strand Health is represented by a mark, an icon that is a symbol of our purpose. It is called The Caring Star and defines our true north, a reminder of our purpose. It also serves as a beacon of comfort to the community and our many visitors. The four-sided star is a visual symbol of how we view our role in the lives we touch. The four sides represent the physicians, the medical and support staff, the patients themselves, and the community.

The two dark blue arcs of the star symbolize us: the physicians and the medical and support staff of Grand Strand Health. We should be, at all times, the personification of acts of care great and small. The two dark blue arcs symbolize our outstretched arms that extend care to our patients and the community. The ocean blue is the sea of patients that we treat as individuals. Each one unique. Each one requiring us to care in new and specific ways. Lastly, the orange represents the sun and our differentiating sense of place—the greater Myrtle Beach community that is like no other.

The points of the star shape represent outreach. At these points, the Grand Strand Health dark blue touches the ocean blue and orange, symbolizing our presence in the lives of our patients and community, from a routine physical to after-surgery follow-up.

The primary Grand Strand font, Aller, is approachable, modern and flexible. When possible, Aller should be used for Grand Strand Health communications. It can be used in its regular, light, bold or italic form.

EXCEPTIONSAller is not a Web font. In the occasion that Aller cannot be used, such as in an email or other digital communications, please use Verdana.

Do: • Use the Aller font family for headlines, subheads, body copy, callouts, etc.

The Grand Strand Health color palette defines who we are and helps us stand out in the healthcare market. Our logo colors will play a prominent role in our communications.

PRINTINGWhen spot-color printing is available, please use the listed Pantone colors for maximum impact.
