ISSUE 18 PAGE 8 In Our Region In Our Region In Our Region In Our Region Ecuador Mission Trip 2012 Ecuador Trip in 2012 We have set dates for the mission trip to Ecuador it will be July 12 to 24 of this year. We will again work with FEDICE who will host us and plan our work project; they are the Oregon region’s global mission partner. Costs are going to be around $2400 per person including plane tickets, room, meals, transportation, project costs and miscellaneous. I have a breakdown of these costs. If you are interested, I have more information I can give you. I have set March 5 as a soft deadline for the trip, but please let me know sooner if you are thinking about it. Please join the Oregon Region Women's Ministries in an exciting event "Come Unity" Garden Build March 29-31 at Medford Christian Church, Alicia Speidel, Pastor. Alicia is the daughter of Marjorie & Warren Wolski and grew up at Salem FCC. It is all about being together with other caring Disciples to make our corner of the world a better place. We will be helping the hungry by making community gardens. There will be opportunities to learn about food economics; low cost healthy eating and sharing community meals featuring seasonal produce. Inter-generational (ages 13 and up) and for men and women. Our own Susan Latham has been instrumental in making this happen. This year's event is "Rainbow Recipe" and it is just around the corner. Get ready for laughter, connecting with friends and spiritual renewal. Everyone attending will receive a New Day Magazine. These events are held all over the region. The closest one to us is at Keizer Christian Church on Saturday, March 3, from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm.
