9.30 Developing Northern Australia – The Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF)
The NAIF offers up to $5 billion in debt or alternative financing mechanisms, which may be on concessional terms, to benefit northern Australia. Mr Hallam will provide an update on the activities and progress of the NAIF over its first year of operation.
He will discuss the role of the NAIF in being a key catalyst for longer term transformation, economic and population growth across the north, particularly in the Northern Territory, including for example opening up new market opportunities and assisting the development of new, more resilient and reliable supply chains.
