Awesome job everyone! What an amazing year we have had. It’s pretty cool that our little group is catching the attention of leaders in our city, for the difference we are making here in District Four. On behalf of Community Police Officers Resnick and Geniesse and myself … you all are an amazing team and I count it a joy to serve our city alongside of each you. How blessed we are to have such a wonderful group of folks serving an outstanding police department in our very own District Four. -Pastor Jay Fisher, Evangel Assembly of God

Dear Friends ~ My Church Family,
Time is passing too quickly for me to be current, and I apologize. My intentions never followed
through on my plan. I am enjoying the beautiful poinsettia plant delivered by Nancy Adams and
appreciated the time she took to visit.
Thank you for remembering me. God bless you, ~ Janet Beltman
Dear Friends, Thank you so much for your monetary and patient gift donations this holiday season. Every patient at Winnebago Mental Health Institute got a wonderful gift to open, along with candy and other goodies too. With you, all things are possible. Your monetary donation of $215 was received. Your gift reaches beyond the holiday season by supplying patients with needed personal items and also by helping to supply prizes, incentives, and recognition items all year round. This helps to support our patients as they work towards their recovery and wellness. Thank you again for making a difference! Warmest regards, Kate Bahr, Volunteer Services Coordinator, Winnebago Mental Health Institute

2019 ANNUAL REPORTS
WORSHIP COMMITTEE The Worship Committee meets on the first Monday of the month to discuss, organize and implement
worship experiences for the congregation. Pastor Dee shares his quarterly worship plan as a guide to our work. Worship Committee is in charge of scheduling guest pastors, liturgists, music planning and other
special events that are part of worship.
This year we coordinated four small groups for a Lenten Study “Apostle Paul” for six weeks in different
locations and times. We started working on a new Lenten study for the next Lent 2020.
Due to reduced attendance, we are thinking of having a combined evening worship with Hope Congregation for both Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday services next year. There were 70 people
at the 5PM service on Christmas Eve and 108 people at the 7PM service. This year 6 children were
baptized. We had Thanksgiving Eve soup supper with communion and many more people attended this year than last year. We were invited to Masjid Al-Quran on December 3 for dinner and there was a
presentation on the struggles of Muslims in Kashmir.
Jan Snowden coordinated all special music, including soloists, flute, and the Brass and Trombone choirs.
The Worship Committee consists of chair Hildegarde Essoka along with Pastor Dee Anderson, Tony
Anderson, Lois Pearson, David Lambert, Steve Otten, Farrukh Daniel, Dennis Hockerman, Noel Adams, and Nancy Baum.

MISSION COMMITTEE
The 2019 Mission year was again a story of generosity and service that encompassed a wide range of objectives. The Senior High Youth took a trip to Michigan, accomplishing a variety of work projects and
having fun, too. One hundred Easter Baskets were again a special addition to the St Peter-Immanuel Food Pantry donations. Rob Pearson and other WG workers helped build another Habitat Presbyterian
Coalition House. Michelle Pogorzelski organized backpacks of school supplies which were donated to
Maple Tree School, along with hats and mittens handmade by Patti Lorbiecki, Shirley Jaccard, and Eleanor Ellner. Winnebago Mental Health Institute patients received Christmas gifts from the
congregation, coordinated and delivered by Pat Grogan and the Cannestra family. We helped sponsor the Maple Tree Staff and Teacher Appreciation lunch and the District Four Police Appreciation Day. Our
medical benevolence donation went to Darvonne Women and Children’s Hospital in Haiti. Cindy
Anderson is still hoping to make a mission trip there when it is safe.
Perseverance scholarships were awarded to seven West Granville college students for the 2019-2020 school year. The scholarship guidelines and application were revised for the 2020-2021 award year. Both
can be found on the church website.
The Northwest Interfaith senior outreach program is no longer operating. Our support of it in the past
through Perseverance gifting will be channeled into another mission objective.
The West Granville’s Presbyterian Church Mission Yearbook was revised and updated. It contains the missions of church locally, nationally and internationally. It will be available on the website.
Grateful for West Granville’s mission generosity, we are the Mission Committee: Ben Anderson, Sarah Ramlow, Tom Ramlow, Marna Tess-Mattner, Nancy Adams

OPEN CIRCLE
Open Circle is a women’s group at West Granville that focuses on mission and fellowship. This year
we sponsored Rally Day Pie & Ice Cream Social and Strawberry Festival, a retreat with a group book read, ladies night out for dinner, watched the Fred Rogers movie at Dickson Hollow theater, Valentine tea
and card-making for our homebound members, spring flower sale, and Christmas party. Open Circle’s
funds were distributed among the following missions: Sojourner Family Center, Casa Maria Hospitality House, Jenny Bletcher Scholarship Fund at Carroll University, House of Peace/St. Ben’s meals at Capuchin
Community Services, Meta House, and Tippecanoe Presbyterian Church Divine Intervention Program.
PROPERTY COMMITTEE
It has been an electrifying year (literally) for the Property Committee. It started in February with a needed repair to the boiler. In April one of the front entry heaters was repaired. At the end of April, the
portico lights were all noted to be burned out and it was discovered that the electric photo eye that
controlled the lighting was also not working (it was thought that a lightning strike may have caused the outage). At the same time the Property Committee was also working on obtaining bids to rewire the
dishwasher due to continued problems with the circuit being overloaded. Electrical contractors indicated that the best way to fix the problem was to do an upgrade to 400 amp service to the building. Bids were
also obtained to replace the photo eye and upgrade the portico lights to LED lighting. The portico lighting
was upgraded by the end of April. In July one of the parking lot’s lights went out and it was determined that parts were no longer
available to make repairs, so those lights were also upgraded to energy efficient LED lights. Bids were obtained for the upgrade to 400 amp service and WE Energies also gave us the cost to run
increased amp service to the building. The Congregation was asked for and wholly supported the funding drive for the needed repairs. WE Energies has to upgrade the power to the building prior to our electrical
contractor doing their work.
Our Committee also makes sure other routine maintenance items are completed throughout the year. This includes yearly roof inspection and repair as needed, elevator maintenance and inspection, floor
cleaning and polishing, lawn care and snow plowing, and pest management. Thank-you to the Property Committee members and members of the congregation who offer their help
to keep our building and property looking good.
Respectfully submitted on behalf of Property Committee by Patti Lorbiecki
MEMBER CARE COMMITTEE
The 2019 Member Care Committee for West Granville Presbyterian Church consisted of Pastor Dee Anderson, Aaron Tracy, Lil Sullivan, Lori Talasek, Scott Prill, Jane Hockerman, and Jo Olson as Chair.
The Committee continues to welcome, support and integrate members and friends of West Granville in
Christian fellowship. Member Care provides opportunities for fellowship, supports members and friends of
the church in times of need, and celebrates significant milestones in the lives of its congregants.
Lil Sullivan continued serving those in need as our Parish Nurse by visiting home-bound members, those in the hospital and following up with many phone calls to members and their families. She provided
much-needed transportation for some members to doctor appointments and to Sunday services. Lil
continues to be a strong advocate for the wellbeing of our members. We are so thankful we have Nurse Lil and offer our heartfelt gratitude for all she does for West Granville.
In 2019, Member Care continued to plan and organize the holiday home flower deliveries with Poinsettia
plants at Christmas time and Lilies at Easter. We cherish those deliveries and visits to our special friends over the holidays. The committee also facilitated and coordinated the Annual Church Picnic in
conjunction with the annual outdoor service. We are grateful for Brad Meyer and his master grilling skills!
And finally, Member Care coordinated the meal train program as an outreach service to members
who find themselves in need of meals delivered to them due to illness or difficult times. In 2019, we delivered meals to David Lambert after his surgery.
Respectfully submitted on behalf of Member Care Committee by Jo Olson
PERSONNEL COMMITTEE
Personnel Moves and Actions:
2019 was a very good year for Personnel Committee. There were no changes in personnel during 2019 or in any church policies or procedures.
Personal note from Committee – The strength and effectiveness of the West Granville Presbyterian
Church is due in large part to the dedicated and wonderful staff, along with the volunteers who
contribute their time and talents. Without them our Church would not have the heart and strength to be the positive force that it is.
We thank the following: Sara Nygaard, Church Administrative Assistant
Amy Mikec, Adult Choir and Bell Choir Director
Nancy Kapp, Nursery Attendant Tom and Sharon Scott, Custodians
Jan Snowden, Organist Suae “Sarah” Yun, Accompanist
Personnel Committee: Chair, Jo Olson, Chair, Michelle Pogorzelski, Tammy Wood, Scott Prill
Respectfully submitted on behalf of Personnel Committee by Jo Olson
FINANCE COMMITTEE Committee members: Dee Anderson, Dorothy Harris-Shuff, Joe Hrovat, Rob Pearson, Dave Serebin (through
August 2019), and Tom Roberts. Committee meets the second Monday of every month, except July.
The primary responsibilities of the Finance Committee are to create the annual budget, manage the pledge
drive, monitor the church’s assets, and monitor the church’s financial obligations throughout the year. We ended 2019 with monetary assets of $682,525 (increase of 28% from 2018) divided among Associated Bank
checking account, Associated Bank Money Market Account, and New Covenant Growth Investment. The majority of the investments, 93%, are in New Covenant, which makes investment decisions consistent with
the social-witness principles adopted by the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A). The committee also monitors and continuously reviews designated accounts. Those include Scholarship
Account ($36,781), NW Interfaith Account ($39,315), Mission ($4,485), Family Relief Fund ($6,541), Budget
Balance Fund ($536,431), Treasury Obligations Fund ($23,593), Building Fund ($12,389), Memorial Fund ($9,503), and Parking Lot Fund ($7,000).
Committee notes from 2019:
A response to the 2018 Financial Review was drafted and presented to Session, who accepted the
review.
There were two estate type donations recognized in 2019. One was a $12,000 donation which was
put into the General Fund. The other was an $80,000 IRA received in the summer of 2018 from the
estate of Llew Tietz. It was unable to be redeemed until March of 2019, by which time it had grown
to $91,876. It was put into the Budget Balance Asset.
Funding for an electrical upgrade to commercial service was completed. There was $19,200 raised
through an appeal to church members. The balance of the estimated $23,000 total cost will come
from the Memorial Fund.
Planning for the funding of the 2022 parking lot topcoat continued. This was originally targeted for
2020, but was delayed due to the need for the electrical upgrade.
Northwest Interfaith has closed. The 4% annual harvest of funds given by Perseverance Church will
be directed to a successor by the Mission Committee. In 2019, it was added to the scholarship
award.
WE Energies proposed installing solar panels on the church roof. They would pay us $20.00 per
month for 20 years for the use of the roof. They completed an engineering study at their cost. We
did not accept their proposal because of the cost we would incur to prepare the roof for installation.
Joe Hrovat will end his role as Finance Committee Chair in January 2020. Dorothy Harris-Shuff has
agreed to take over the role.
Respectfully submitted on behalf of Finance Committee by Joe Hrovat
Financial Review - 2019
The financial review committee examined the financial statements of West Granville Presbyterian Church
for the year ended 2019. These financial statements are the responsibility of the Church's management. Our responsibility is to express an opinion on these financial statements based on our examination.
Although none of us are C.P.A.s, and have not performed an official audit or review according to AICPA and FASB standards, our observations are as private citizens and not as representatives of any firm.
Our examination procedures included the items noted in the enclosed audit program, 09/2018 Rev. 4.
A memo of findings and recommendations for the session and finance committee are also enclosed. In our opinion, based on the examination procedures performed, the financial statements present fairly
the financial position of the West Granville Presbyterian Church as of December 31, 2019. Date of Audit: January 12 & 19, 2020
Audit Committee: Angela Murray, Tammy Wood, Kent Tess-Mattner

TERMS OF CALL FOR REVEREND DEE M. ANDERSON
(Policy approved October 2003) Effective January 1, 2020
West Granville Presbyterian Church (the Church), a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA)
and belonging to the Presbytery of Milwaukee, being well satisfied with the qualifications and
performance of the Reverend Dee M. Anderson in his ministry and service to West Granville Presbyterian Church, the Presbytery of Milwaukee and the Presbyterian Church (USA), and having made various
modifications to Reverend Anderson's Terms of Call since the initial Terms of Call were extended to him on September 1, 1985, and being desirous of compiling all aspects of Reverend Anderson's Terms of Call
into a single document, does, in consultation with Reverend Anderson, hereby revise Reverend Anderson's Terms of Call as set forth below, to be effective January 1, 2020.
I. Position Description.
The attached Position Description, as approved in October 2003, is hereby adopted and incorporated
into this document by reference.
II. Policies.
A. Medical and Dental Expense Reimbursement Plan.
(Adopted by the Church's Session on December 19, 1988).
1. All full-time employees of the Church are eligible to participate in this Plan after completing one full year of employment. "Full-time" for the pastor is defined as at least 50 hours of
work per week; "full-time" for other employees is defined as at least 35 hours of work per week for at least nine months of the year.
2. This plan is intended to qualify as one under which payments to employees are excludable
from gross income under Section 105 of the Internal Revenue Code. 3. The Church, at its discretion, may directly pay any qualified medical or dental expenses
under this Plan, or may reimburse the employee for such expenses. 4. The Church may require, as a condition of payment or reimbursement, that an employee
seeking payment or reimbursement furnish to the Church copies of all bills for which
payment or reimbursement is sought. 5. The medical and dental expenses to be paid or reimbursed shall be those for which the
employee, the employee's spouse, or the employee's dependent (as defined in Section 152 of the Internal Revenue Code) is not compensated by insurance or otherwise, and which are
treated as medical expenses under Section 213 of the Internal Revenue Code. 6. The maximum amount of medical and dental expenses paid or reimbursed in a calendar
year shall be $4,750.00, unless a higher amount is specified in the employee's Financial
Package.
B. Disability.
1. "Disability" for purposes of this policy shall mean the pastor's inability to perform substantially all of his or her duties as pastor of the Church, as determined by a physician
acceptable to the Session of the Church. Any disability certified by the Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (USA) shall be considered a disability under this policy.
2. The Church will continue to pay the salary of the pastor for ninety (90) days following the onset of disability, less any benefits the pastor receives as a result of such disability from
Church-funded disability plans, worker's compensation, social security or other veterans or
government programs. All salary shall terminate after the 90th day of disability. 3. After ninety (90) days of disability, the pastor is eligible for long-term disability benefits
through the Presbyterian Church (USA).

C. Alcohol or Other Chemical Dependency.
(Adopted by the Milwaukee Presbytery on March 22, 1988).
1. The Church recognizes that alcohol and other chemical dependencies are not the result of
poor moral fiber or weak will but rather are treatable diseases. At the same time, the Church is aware that alcohol or other chemical dependencies can create serious personnel
problems which require a supportive response from the Church, guided by compassion and directness.
2. If the pastor is concerned about the possibility of his or her alcohol or other chemical dependency, the pastor will, upon request, be granted time off for diagnosis and, if
professionally recommended, will be granted additional time off for treatment.
3. As with any serious disease, the pastor's employment will not be jeopardized while the pastor is receiving appropriate treatment.
4. If the pastor exhibits consistent symptoms of alcohol or chemical dependency with a resulting decline in job performance, but refuses to seek diagnosis and treatment when
requested to do so by the Church, such refusal will adversely affect the pastor's perform-
ance evaluation and may be considered cause for termination of the pastor's employment. 5. If the pastor experiences recurring problems of alcohol or chemical dependency with a
resulting decline in job performance, despite treatment efforts, the pastor's employment may be terminated.
6. Privacy and confidentiality laws applicable to medical information shall apply.
D. Sabbatical.
1. The Church believes that a sabbatical will enable the pastor to be renewed through the vital pursuit of continuing education, extended time spent in spiritual formation, and fresh
mentoring by respected teachers. A sabbatical enables the pastor to return to the
responsibilities of the Church with new energy, spiritual vision, and effectiveness. 2. The pastor shall be eligible to take a sabbatical of three (3) months after six (6) years of
service to the Church. 3. The pastor shall seek grants or fellowships to partially or entirely provide financial support
for the pastor while on sabbatical.
4. The pastor shall submit to the Church's Session an outline of the sabbatical proposal at least six (6) months before the intended commencement of the sabbatical, and shall assure the
Session of the pastor's continued service to the Church for at least one full year from the conclusion of the sabbatical.
5. Upon receiving the Session's approval of the sabbatical, the pastor shall arrange coverage of necessary pastoral and pulpit responsibilities.
6. The Session shall designate a Session moderator for the duration of the sabbatical;
communicate to the congregation the importance and values to the Church of a sabbatical; and continue all terms of the pastor's call not otherwise provided by a grant or other source.
III. Financial Compensation Package.
The financial compensation package shall be renewed annually by the Personnel Committee, in
cooperation with Reverend Anderson. The Personnel Committee shall recommend to the Church's Session any changes in the compensation package for the following calendar year. The compensation package
adopted by the Session shall be attached to this document and incorporated by reference.

RECOMMENDED 2020 FINANCIAL COMPENSATION PACKAGE FOR
REVEREND DEE M. ANDERSON
The Personnel Committee has reviewed all aspects of Reverend Anderson's compensation package.
The Committee has concluded that Reverend Anderson's overall compensation is lower than that of similarly situated pastors within the Milwaukee Presbytery. The Personnel Committee also is mindful of
the fact that Reverend Anderson has been the pastor at West Granville Presbyterian Church for 35 years, in contrast to the average Presbyterian minister's tenure of approximately eight years.
The Presbytery of Milwaukee Committee on Ministry (COM) recommends a minimum 1.2% increase
in compensation for 2020. No raises were given in 2019. The Personnel Committee believes that a 1.5%
increase is warranted for Reverend Anderson's loyalty and leadership.
With those factors in mind, the Personnel Committee recommends the following changes to Reverend Anderson's Financial Compensation Package for 2020.
A. Salary and Cash Components.
Salary $35,142 (Including TSA Deferred Compensation)
Housing Allowance $25,000
Total Effective Salary $60,142
B. Benefits.
Participation in Presbyterian Church (USA) Pension/Medical Plan: $22,252.54
(Total Effective Salary x 37%) Vacation: 4 weeks
Continuing Education: 2 weeks Youth Trips: 2 weeks
Short-Term Disability (West Granville Presbyterian Church)
Long-Term Disability (Board of Pensions, Presbyterian Church (USA)
C. Expense Reimbursements.
Medical Expense Reimbursement $4,750 Automobile Expense Reimbursement (53.5 cents/mile) $2,500
Continuing Education Expense Reimbursement $2,000
Professional Expense Reimbursement $500
