Hello

Welcome to Manchester Airport!

We are part of MAG (which also owns London Stansted, East Midlands and Bournemouth airports) - the UK’s largest airport group. The group has revenues of over £700m, and is expanding in the USA.

With an affluent catchment of 22 million people within a 2 hour drive time, Manchester Airport really is a superb location from which to grow new routes. We are the UK’s largest airport outside of London and 2016 will see us exceed 25 million passengers per annum – an all time record!

In terms of new routes and carriers, we have been very busy. The past 12 months have seen us announce Beijing with Hainan Airlines; Miami, Boston, New York, Los Angeles and Tobago with Thomas Cook Airlines; Barcelona, Alicante and Rome with Vueling; Istanbul with Pegasus; Phuket, Goa and Mauritius with TUI; Islamabad with Shaheen Air; Madrid with Iberia Express; New York with Delta; Costa Brava, Krakow and Naples with Jet2; Rotterdam and Lyon with Flybe; Paris, Olbia, Milan, Tivat and Gibraltar with EasyJet; Lisbon, Tel Aviv and Funchal with Monarch; and Bratislava, Bremen, Brindisi, Carcassonne, Limoges, Malta, Berlin, Hamburg and Nuremberg with Ryanair. We now offer over 210 direct destinations with over 70 airline and tour operator partners.

On the back of our new routes and carriers, I am delighted to say that we have won two very prestigious awards. These are ‘Best UK Airport’ at the Globe Travel Awards for two consecutive years and ‘UK Airport of the Year’ at the Airport Operators Association annual awards. We are very proud of these.

In addition to the previously announced Airport City (£800 million investment) Manchester Airport has also recently announced its 10 year transformation programme - a series of terminal/airfield enhancements amounting to a total investment of £1 billion. This will include an array of state of the art facilities for both passengers and airlines - ensuring that the airport continues to thrive as a national asset and play an even greater role as the UK’s global gateway to and from the North.

These are exciting times at Manchester Airport – we look forward to discussing route development opportunities with you.
