    Basic Objectives Reservoir

    The purpose of storing water is to meet balancing requirements and plannedshut-downs. The balancing volume is required to cater for peak outflows whilea constant (or variable) inlet flow is being received. Water needs will usuallyvary between morning and evening. If clean water is unavailable, then theinstallation must be capable of supplying water processing a huge need,especially at peak time (peak hour demand reached 1.27 times the averagedaily requirement). For the possibility that water processing installation shallhave a capacity of about 2 time of the average daily requirement, if notavailable reservoir. With a reservoir (reservoir) is adequate, then the watertreated and distributed only by the amount of the distribution network inaccordance with the needs of the daily average

    Volume Reservoir

    A. Services ReservoirVolume reservoir services or services reservoir is determined by

    The maximum volume of water that must be accommodated atthe minimum water usage plus the volume of water that must beprovided during hours of peak flux fluctuations due to waterconsumption in its service area and the period of reservoir filling.
