Since its foundation inNovember1998, the Living LakesNetworkunites environmental organisationsstrivingfortheprotectionoflakesandwetlandsworldwide.Startingwithfourpartners,thenetworktodayconsistsof109partnerlakesrepresentedbymemberorganisationsfromallovertheworld.Itcreatedaplatformforraisingawareness,exchangingideasandadviceandinitiatingcommonprojects.TheLivingLakesNetworkhastackledmanychallenges,growntogetheranddevelopedamutualtrustovertheyears.The20thanniversaryofthenetworkisareasontocelebratethesuccessstoryofLivingLakes,topassinreviewandforgingoutplansforthefuture.
