Since February 2005, we have featured countless speakers
and thousands of participants. The presentations are topical,
cutting-edge, and varied. Unique to this course, though, is the
level of entertainment mixed into the education. This keeps
the attendees engaged and coming back year after year.
And things just keep getting better!
But don’t take our word for it (we’re a little biased), take it
directly from the attendees:
“Excellent conference! I very much enjoyed the humor
and entertainment intertwined with the remarkable
presentations! Made for a highly memorable first
conference, and I will DEFINITELY return!”
“Fantastic course highlighting recent research and a
need for a multidisciplinary approach.”
“Most fun I’ve had at a conference…ever.”
“The topics presented are diverse and forward-thinking.”
“I look forward to this conference every year!”
“This was so much fun! I feel as if I will be returning to
practice with such a wealth of new information!”
“Very fun, informative, and useful conference. Thank
you!”
“Superb overall conference. I like the short presentations,
and fun mixed in with content.”
“This was an awesome course — no more needs to be
said.”
Why Sin City Laryngology?
At the conclusion of this CEU activity, each participant should be
better able to:

hygiene

• Discuss the role of HPV in the development of head and neck
cancer

• Identify and implement one exuberant voice therapy technique
• Identify and implement one resonant voice therapy technique
• Describe the components of Conversation Training Therapy (CTT)
• Understand components of CTT to determine candidacy
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
ACCREDITATION:
This course is offered for up to 2.5 CEUs (Intermediate Level; Professional Area)
Please check our website for the updated brochure, in the event that ASHA requires any modifications.
NEEDS ASSESSMENT Laryngology Course: This course is designed for otolaryngologists and
speech pathologists who wish to enhance their understanding of the
advanced diagnostic and therapeutic options for individuals with
complex swallowing and voice disorders. Participants will be presented
with an understanding of the biomechanics of normal and pathologic
voice and swallowing function. Disease diagnostics will be discussed
including endoscopy, fluoroscopy and videostroboscopy. In addition,
participants will gain knowledge of the state-of-the-art treatments for a
variety of voice and swallowing disorders, including autoimmune
disease, vocal fold paresis, chronic cough, chronic aspiration, reflux
disease and intractable dysphagia.
Voice Course; Voice therapy is a subspecialized area of speech
language pathology. In the voice community, the request for continuing
education opportunities focusing on voice therapy is frequent. This need
is also highlighted in the referral patterns within various communities
across the United States. By providing a one-day workshop focusing on
voice therapy, a clear need will be addressed for SLPs to increase their
knowledge of voice therapy with regard to identifying candidacy and
providing efficacious and evidenced based patient care.
If you have any special needs due to a disability as specified in the Americans with Disabilities Act, please call us at (813) 810-6027 so we may make the necessary accommodations for you.
