PARISH PICNIC SATURDAY, AUGUST 15

after the 4:00 Mass

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

We celebrate with our students as they receive the Lord during Mass for

their First Holy Communion. All are invited to attend Sunday,

Sept. 27, 2020 at 10:30 AM. Reception follows in the parish center.

BLESSING OUR TEACHERS

Religious Education classes begin with a special Mass blessing our

teachers on Sunday, September 20 during the 10:30 Mass. Followed by

a meet and greet ice cream social. Join us as we bless our families

CHICKEN BARBEQUE AUGUST 15

Bring your friends and family as we celebrate summer with our Parish

Picnic. Great food and music (DJ). Enjoy the summer months and take

time to relax. Games in the gym and raffle / door prizes!

Donation is $9 Children under 5 are free

SCHEDULE & VOLUNTEERS

This year Religious Education is planning some great events! Please

consider becoming a teacher! But if you would like to get involved but

don’t want to teach, here are a few activities we plan to hold this year.

They could use your help and support. Coffee Hour, Ice Cream Social,

Outreach, Altar Servers, Way of the Cross, Rosary, Catechetical

Sunday, Hockey & Basketball Nights, Holy Week, Graduation Blessing,

Teachers, Education in Child Safety, Retreat, Holy Week, Lasagna

Dinner for the Needy, Confession, Passover, Children’s Liturgies,

Halloween Party, Christmas, First Holy Communion, Choir,

Confirmation, Pancake Breakfast, Movie Nights and more!

CONFIRMATION SEPTEMBER 19

Saint Brigid’s Parish will be celebrating Confirmation on Saturday,

September 19, 2020 during the 4:00 pm Mass. The Confirmation robes

which the candidates wear are a symbol of our share in the Priesthood of

Christ. Each candidate accepts the commitment to Christ, made for

them at their baptism and intend to live out that covenant as adults.

History is written by those who were there! Knowing where you came

from. Your roots, can be a humble and proud experience. No one

enjoys the successes in this life unless they know the sacrifices made

by our parents, grandparents, mentors and friends! No one succeeds

by one’s own efforts but the people who loved us, loved God, and

supported us. They are our family, our teachers, mentors, co-workers,

CEMETERY COMMITTEE NOMINATIONS

Please submit names for the cemetery committee. Nominations must be

active members of the parish. The financial or resources at the present

time are very limited. One project we are looking into is painting the

fence and general lawn care

During the year we are looking into replacing the cemetery fence with a

new fence. Tom Perron and committee is looking into the process and the

costs. If you wish to donate to the new fence please contact Tom Perron or

Carol Ashby. A great idea that needs your support to become a reality.

OUR POLICY FOR ANNOUNCEMENTS

Our parish bulletin is the only source for St. Brigid’s information.

There is no other bulletin. All announcements and notices for the

weekly bulletin or Mass should be submitted to the rectory two

weeks in advance. Any announcements in the bulletin will be

made before or after the Mass by the priest or someone the priest

appoints. No one should make announcements during Mass.

How to Submit: Please submit your announcement to the parish

office All bulletin announcements can be dropped off in person to

the St. Brigid’s parish office during regular office hours. We will

not accept any bulletin announcement request over the telephone.

Deadline: To ensure that there is room in the bulletin for your

announcement, we would encourage you to submit your request

two weeks in advance. The deadline for submitting bulletin

request is Monday morning at 9:00 AM All requests are reviewed

before publication. We reserve the right to edit your announcement

for length and content if necessary. Due to the large number of

events it may sometimes be necessary for us to shorten them. Your

announcement MUST include contact information. Please do not

instruct people to call the office for information about your event.

PRIMERA COMUNIÓN

Celebramos con nuestros estudiantes cuando reciben al Señor

durante la misa de su Primera Sagarda Comunión. Todos están

invitados a asistir el domingo, 27 de septiembre de 2020 a las

10:30 am. Seguida por una recepción en el centro parroquial.

BENDICIENDO A NUESTROS MAESTROS

Las clases de Educación Religiosa comienzan con una misa

especial bendiciendo a nuestros maestros el domingo, 20 de

septiembre durante la misa de las 10:30 am. Seguido de una

actividad de helados para conocernos y saludarnos. Únanse a

nosotros mientras bendecimos a nuestras familias.

BARBACOA DE POLLO EL 15 DE AGOSTO

Trae a tus amigos y familiares mientras celebramos el verano con

nuestro Picnic de la Parroquia. Gran comida y música (DJ).

Disfruta de los meses de verano y tómate un tiempo para

relajarte. ¡Juegos en el gimnasio y rifas / premios! La donación es

de $9. Los niños menores de 5 años son gratis.

¡Este año la Educación Religiosa está planificando grandes

hay algunas actividades que prevemos para este año. Podrán

Café, Actividades Sociales de Helados, Relaciones Públicas,

Monaguillos, Vía Crucis, Rosario, Catequesis Dominical,

Actividades Nocturnas de Hockey y Baloncesto, Semana Santa,

Bendición de Graduación, Catequista, Educación en Seguridad

Infantil, Retiro, Cena de Lasaña para los Necesitados, Confesión,

Pascua, Liturgias Infantiles, Fiesta de Halloween, Navidad,

Primera Comunión, Coro, Confirmación, Desayuno de

Panqueques, Noche de Películas y más!

CONFIRMACIÓN 19 DE SEPTIEMBRE

La Parroquia Santa Brígida celebrará la Confirmación el sábado,

19 de septiembre de 2020 durante la misa de las 4:00 pm. Las

vestimentas de confirmación que los candidatos llevan son un

símbolo de nuestra participación en el Sacerdocio de Cristo. Cada

candidato acepta el compromiso con Cristo, hecho por ellos en su

bautismo, y la intención de vivir ese pacto como adultos.
