UBC IS AHEAD OF THE GAME.

UBC is the first collegiate team to implement a dedicated support team consisting of one manager, coach(es), and analyst(s). UBC has achieved great success consistently due to a great management team that oversees the improvement of each player and the synergy between each player.

TEAM HISTORYUBC IS A VETERAN.

Created in summer 2011, UBC is the longest-standing collegiate team in the League of Legends scene. The team participated in the beta season of IvyLoL and in early tournaments of Collegiate Starleague, prior to the collaboration with Azubu. The team has remained active since its creation, playing in every collegiate league as possible.

Their success was first recognized by pro teams when they became the first collegiate team invited to LCS (professional league) and Challenger (amateur league) scrims. A year later, UBC had pave the way for SJSU, UCI, and UCLA to follow suit.

TEAM ACHIEVEMENTSUBC IS A WINNER.

UBC is recognized as the top Canadian collegiate team, having qualified for the NACC semifinals LAN with a CSL first place title under its belt from just the previous year. UBC is also known for being the first collegiate team to reach Challenger and hitting Diamond 1 on several other practice teams in Season 3. The team qualified for WCG to represent Canada, several MLG Qualifiers, NACL Qualifiers, and LCS Qualifiers but turned down the invitations due to the players’ commitment to other amateur teams such as EPIK Gamer, Team Tempest, LolPro, and XDG Virtus.

The team has won over $23,000 USD in scholarships, cash, and product prizing from local tournaments and collegiate leagues alone.

TEAM STRUCTUREUBC IS STABLE & HIGHLY COMPETITIVE.

Despite players graduating or transferring each semester, UBC has always prepared for the future by establishing three sister teams each year as well as scouting potential players from the talented pool of highschool graduates in Vancouver.

Notable challenger players Gate (formerly Clackbard) and Npromsiri were trained and acquired from our sister teams while challenger players such as ProofOfPayment and BobqinXD were scouted since their highschool days. Players such as Cat8 and Daijurjur were scouted for their potential and polished to their current level. Newly joined Heat Waves was scouted from a local tournament and recruited as a substitute at first, and then earned his starter position a few months later.

TEAM SCHEDULEUBC IS HARDCORE.

While doing full-time college studies in intense programs such as Biotechnology Honours, UBC players practice at most half as much as other amateur teams. The team works very efficiently in order to accomplish the same results as other teams.

At our peak schedule, UBC practices 28 hours/week and competes for 9 hours/week.
