The course starts with an introduction on topics that are relevant to both low-voltage and high-voltage areas,followed by working methods that are specific to low-voltage or high-voltage. The course ends with a module on theoretical first aid.

The course meets the official national requirements for annually updating knowledge related to the operation of electrical installations (FSE) including first aid, but does not cover CPR. It is essential that you receive practical training in CPR (mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and chest compression) in addition to this theoretical course. Personnel must repeat training at least every 12 months; cf. Guidelines to §7 in Operation of Electrical Installations (FSE).

NEK The Norwegian Electrotechnical Committee is responsible for standardisation in the electrotechnical area, and is the Norwegian member of CENELEC and IEC

DSB Directorate for Civil Protection and Emergency Planning The Directorate is responsible for monitoring fire and electrical safety, hazardous substances and product safety. It is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice and Police.

  The Norwegian Oil and Gas Association is a professional body and employer’s association for oil and suppliercompanies engaged in the field of exploration and production of oil and gas on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The Norwegian Oil and Gas Association aims to further develop a competitive oil and gas industry in Norway.

Nemko Nemko is accredited as test laboratory according to the standard EN ISO/IEC 17025, and as certification body according to EN 45011. Nemko is Notified Certification Body according to EU Directives such as ATEX, LVD EMD R&TTE etc. Nemko is approved test laboratory and certification body within the IECEx Scheme..
