1 Feedly
If you are a content creator you will always need to keep up with the constant changes in your
industry
This can be a difficult task with so much content available
With Feedly you can find and save all the content from your favorite sites into one very easy to
use application
So whether on your computer smartphone or tablet you have the ability to access all the latest
news you need when you need it
Another benefit of Feedly is that you can save the information you find to other applications such
as Evernote and also share what you find to your social channels for further engagement
wwwthecurlymarketerie
2 Buffer
Sending relevant content to your audience across different social media channels can become
difficult
The answer to this is to schedule when you want your content shared with your audience
For me the go-to tool to do this is Buffer and it enables me to share up to 5 posts per day on
Twitter and Linkedin
The beauty for me is that all the posts are pre-batched and go out at the time I want them sent
This means I am not putting myself under pressure each day trying to send out content to my
audience
wwwthecurlymarketerie
3 Freepik
In my blog post ldquoWhy you need to use infographics for
superior marketing successrdquo
I advised that 40 of people will respond better to
visual information than plain text So the use of visuals
in your content and on your website is of critical
importance to stand out
Freepik is a fantastic resource for finding excellent
images icons and vectors
The majority of the images are free to use with just a
simple attribution to the creator
wwwthecurlymarketerie
I would like to give a big thank you to Freepik as each of the vector
images I have used for the chapters in this ebook were created by them
4 Trello
When planning your content to do list there is a variety of different ways to catalogue this Maybe a
trusty note-book and pen is your preferred option or maybe you like to create spreadsheets in excel
But I would suggest giving Trello a try With Trello you create simple boards named as you need For
example you could have board called To Do another one called Doing and then a final one called
Done
Each task you create uses a drag and drop card system and deadlines for completion can be set
wwwthecurlymarketerie
5 Canva
If you have a designer on your team then trying to get creative designs is not an issue for you
Maybe you have a design budget and in that case you could get an excellent freelancer to do the
work for you using a resource such as 99 designs
But if you are like me you may want to be your own creative and design your own material
By using Canva you can now design your own flyers ebook covers Twitter header images and so
much more all one simple easy to use tool and will allow you create within minutes
wwwthecurlymarketerie
6 Evernote
Evernote is a note taking programme and in my opinion is a must-have tool
You can create digital notes you can save articles and images you come across saved by topic
With Evernote you can create your editorial calendar and share notebooks with your team
If you have a quick idea but no time to type you can create a new note and voice record your idea
As a content marketer I use Evernote to curate all my content into relevant notebooks
I can then review my notebooks for research before writing my next blog post
wwwthecurlymarketerie
7 Hootsuite
Hootsuite is generally referred to as a Social Media Management tool
It helps you manage many social networks such as Twitter LinkedIn Google + in one dashboard
The benefit of this is that you dont have to visit many social networks
Instead you can watch whos engaging with your content all in one central dashboard This ability
alone is fantastic for saving you lots of time
wwwthecurlymarketerie
8 Hubspot Blog Topic Generator
Do you have an idea for your next blog post
Or are you struggling for some inspiration
Then the Hubspot blog topic generator is the perfect solution
It is easy to use and the topic generator will give you back blogging suggestions
To give you an idea of how it works I used the blog topic generator and put in content strategy
and blog These are the potential topics I got back for the week which is a real-time saver
wwwthecurlymarketerie
9 Co-Schedule Headline Analyser
One of the visionaries that shaped the advertising world David Ogilvy said that
ldquoOn the average five times as many people read the headlines as read the body copyrdquo
Your headline is critical and will decide the success of your communication Why
Your headline is the first piece of copy your audience sees If it does not intrigue or capture their
immediate attention you will lose the reader
With this headline analyser you have an effective solution to grade your chosen headline
This means that you can tweak your headline for greatest effect
wwwthecurlymarketerie
10 Google Slides
I am a big fan of Google
But I know some feel that Google has usurped how we search online
Yet Google produce quality products that make the content marketing journey easier
From Google docs to Google drive the products are easy to use and do exactly what they
promise My personal favourite is Google Slides
Yes it is like MS Powerpoint but it is much easier to use when creating an ebook
wwwthecurlymarketerie
11 Grammarly
There is nothing worse than writing a piece of content such as blog post and for it to have
spelling mistakes andor grammatical errors To help avoid this problem there is no better service
than Grammarly
Grammarly according to their website is the worldrsquos leading automated proofreader and based
on my experience I canrsquot argue By using it your content will be checked for a large number of
spelling grammar and punctuation errors as well as offer useful wording suggestions to further
enhance your content
wwwthecurlymarketerie
12 Sniply
Would you like the ability to overlay your own personal message on any piece of content which
could then drive clicks and leads back to your website
Of course you do and Sniply is just the tool to do it for you
How it works is very easy When you sign up you create a call to action a message text for a
button and finally input a URL you want someone who clicks on your snip to be brought to
Download the very handy Google Chrome extension and when you come across a page or article
you want to snip click on the sniply extension and you will see a pre-check screen for you to
review Once you are happy click snip and then using the social share buttons presented you can
now share the content with your sniply personal message displayed on the bottom

13 Adobe Spark Video
Video has become a critical element to have when creating content However there is such a
variety of apps to choose from which has lead to a lot of confusion plus the fear factor of ldquoI am not
creative so could never make a videordquo
Adobe has brought three new tools under the main title of Adobe Spark to allow visual content to
be created easily for the non designer These three products are called Spark Post Spark Page and
my personal favorite Spark Video
Spark Video lets you create simple yet very effective videos to showcase your brand or a topic and
you can create a video in minutes
Here is one I created on the 4 keys to Marketing success As you can see creating a video does not
have to be complicated once you have an idea to begin with
wwwthecurlymarketerie
14 Buzzsumo
It can be difficult trying to decide what to write about in your next blog post or what content
seems to be popular
Buzzsumo is exactly the tool you need
It will give you the ability to search for what is popular based on your topic
For example I am interested in Content Marketing Strategy so I used this as my search term and
you can see what I got back in the visual below
I can see that this topic is popular and is something that is resonating with the audience I am
targeting

other resources when you save your ebook as a PDF
PDF Escape is a free tool that allows you to insert the links you need and then re-save and
download your document All you have to do is upload your PDF and then insert your links save
your document and then download
I have used this tool many times and it has been the perfect solution this common issue
