Inspired by a passion for beer, The Left Bank hosted its first Home Brewers Competition last year. After receiving some great beers from local home brewers all over Perth, guests at the Home Brewers Awards Night chose the winner: “Cecil Peak - New Zealand Pale Ale”, brewed by Glen.

As the winner of the competition, Glen was invited to brew his recipe at Northbridge Brewing Co by Beerland Brewing which later went on tap at The Left Bank and both Beerland venues. With his passion and interest in the beer industry, it was a pleasure to have Glen join our team at the Fremantle Beer Fest 2018 - promoting and selling his own beer on tap at our stall. As a bonus, The Left Bank team also decided to brew a second batch of Glen’s Pale Ale to showcase at the Perth Beer Fest Elizabeth Quay.

Now it’s time for round two and we’re looking for the best local Home Brewer to brew the beer we can all enjoy next summer in our Beer Garden! Do you think you have what it takes to compete with brews like Balter’s ‘XPA’ American Pale Ale or Stone & Wood’s ‘Pacific Ale’ Australian Pale Ale!?This is your chance to showcase your brewing skills to the Perth community!

To view highlights from last years competition and hear more about Glen’s experience, head to our YouTube channel to watch the videos.
