    PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

    Dear Parents,

The pictures on the next page highlight what a busy

term it has been. Next term will no doubt be as

busy as we look at the our value of being ‘Aspirational’. The big

concept we want children to understand is systems. A number

of classrooms will be looking at body systems and I am looking

forward to seeing senior students driving their own learningthrough their inquiries.

We wish all the children an enjoyable and safe holiday and we

look forward to seeing them again on the 1st of May.

     Kind regards,

    Simon ClarkePrincipal

We wish all students a safe and happy holiday!

Destiny Bay will introduce students to aspects of New Zealand life in the mid 1800’s, withspecial emphasis on the positive early interaction and mutual respect between Maori andEuropean whalers. The children also get an opportunity to learn Pakeha and Maori songs anddances and be exposed to traditional Maori instruments.
