15−0440 WMS for 9771 WCE RNC: Do Not Load several WO impacting the same WNode in one CMSession
Type: Maintenance
Urgency: Medium
Publish Date: 7 Apr 2015

Product: 9771 WCE RNC (Wireless Cloud Element, Radio Network Controller)
Version: LR14.2.W
Overview: This alert does not apply to WMS managing 9370 RNC only.
Description:When operator has several different Work Orders (WO) to update the same RNC WNode object (Such as in "NodeB re−parenting"operation, creation of multiple IUB Interfaces in WNode configuration), loading and applying those WO in 1 single session causes theWNode provisioning to be misaligned with WMS database. This bug is tracked through WMS CR 01506296.
Impact: Example of impact: If loading 10 WO to create 10 IUB interfaces on WNode, only the first IUB of the list gets created. The rest is ignored. As a result the 9 other nodeB FDDCells won't come up (No Iub interface provisioned)
Attention: At WMS GUI level, the WO activation is successful, and Equipment Monitor displays all the newly created objects, even thoughthey are not really created at WNode level. Actions such as Locking/Unlocking OAM link, CM Synchronize do not realign the WMS with theWNode configuration like it should.
Preventive Action: 2 methods can be used when you have multiple WO involving changes for the same WCE RNC WNode:
1.Merge all your WO into one WO using WiPS application (this should be done at WO creation time). RECOMMENDED2.Load only one WO per CM session. Terminate previous session and create a new one for each WO, in the appropriate sequence.
Solution Availability: The cause of this WMS Bug has been identified and the fix should be available soon to be installed on top of WMS LR14.2 load.
