Assists in many ways.Like taking the work out of parallel parking. First, active park assist1 finds a spot, then it steers Escape into place as you shift gears and control the brake and accelerator pedals. As you slowly back out of a parking spot or driveway, BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert1 is designed to scan for vehicles approaching from either side. If any are detected, the system alerts you with a chime, a message centre warning and an amber light in the corresponding sideview mirror.2 While you’re driving, BLIS uses the same amber lights to alert you if traffic is detected in your blind spots. Whenever you shift into Reverse, the rear view camera1 also displays the scene behind your vehicle on a full-colour screen3 in front of you.

For your convenience, active park assist and BLIS with cross-traffic alert are included in the Titanium Technology Package,1 along with high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a Forward Sensing System.
