please take time to read the following instructions before

operatng.

The Evacusafe Transit Chair is warranted for one year from the date of purchase against faulty workmanship or materials.

Please contact us should a fault occur.

The warranty does not extend to the consequential costs resulting from faultclearance, in particular freight and travel costs, loss of earnings, expenses, etc,

The manufacturer will not accept responsibility for any damage or injury causedby misuse or non-observance of the instructions set out above.

Warranty Information

WARNING – THE CHAIR IS DESIGNED FOR CARRYING PEOPLE, IT MUST NOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED ONCE IN USE, IT MAY TIP BACK AND INJURE THE OCCUPANT.

IT IS ADVISED THAT ALL USERS OF THE CHAIR HAVE RECEIVED MANUAL HANDLING TRAINING.

THE CHAIR REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF TWO PEOPLE TO OPERATE.

THE CHAIR CAN BE OPERATED USING 2, 3 OR 4 PERSONS THAT ARE SITUATEDAROUND THE CHAIR.

Operating Instructions

1. Remove chair from storage

2. Place on ground, un-fasten and remove seat-belt.

3. Grip on the backframe and rear of seatframe.

4. Lift the seat frameand locate the seat barinto the bracket on therear frame.

5. Allow client to transfer into chair andfasten the seatbelts. .ENSURE THE CHAIR ISSUPPORTED AT ALLTIMES.

6. Make your way tothe stairs or emergencyexit.

If you have not opted for certified training, then here are some additional points to consider:

Who is going to use the chair?

Where the chair(s) are going to be located?

Where is the nearest suitable emergency exit?

Have you got enough chairs to cover all situations?

Transfer of the client.

Remember to always be courteous, considerate and confident with your client..

7. Once at the stairs,grip the rear and twobottom lifting handles.The person at the rearshould give instructionsto lift simultaneously.Note! The back end ofthe chair is the heaviest.Manoeuvre the chairslowly and confidentlyup/down the stairs.

8. Once on the stairplatform lower thechair into static position and prepare fornext flight of stairs. Once you are at groundfloor level evacuate tofinal exit.

General Information

Evacusafe UK Ltd guarantees the chair for 1 year from date of purchaseParts are subject to general wear and tear any damage caused by vandalism or misuse will not be covered by the guarantee.Evacusafe Transit Chair is a low maintenance piece of equipment, however it should be checked and used regularly to prolong the life of it.

A regular check should be carried out that includes:

All nuts and bolts are secure.

Seat belt operates correctly.

Chair open and closes.

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT WORKING PARTS ARE LUBRICATED ON A REGULAR BASIS.
